He has opted not to join up until the new year due to his back issues. Not that he was called up previously when he should have been.

I have always found it quite astounding that he doesn't start as a regular for Scotland... Especially when you consider how s*** they are and how consistently well he has performed in the Premiership year in, year out. I have always found it quite astounding that he doesn't start as a regular for Scotland... Especially when you consider how s*** they are and how consistently well he has performed in the Premiership year in, year out.

Unfortunately he will never get in ahead of Scotland golden boy Scott Brown.
