danny rose tried to dribble through and i thought the very same.

it was a good game though and better than friendlies
endgland lost becasue the 5 at the back counldn't retain possession under the pressure from spain, the ball would eventually go back to pickford to punt it forward to nobody

The referee disallowed a perfectly good goal, which the linesman on the goal line seemed to say was a goal but thd ref gave a freekick. Not just English refs that are s**t...

A bizarre referee's decision as was our manager's decision to give Welbeck only five minutes playing time at the end. $hite all round and another 90 minutes of my life wasted watching crap.

Sad thing is,with it being just a 3 team group, it is probably already over for England after 1 defeat!

They do play home and away though, so that might be too pessimistic for now. It’s a bit weird though, that after years of “all final matches must be played at the same time to eliminate any chance of Austro-Germanic collusion”, we are back to groups of 3.

I agree that, from what I saw on the news, the foul given against Welbeck was ridiculous. Unless maybe there’s a new offence of ‘attacking player standing up in the penalty area’.

2 great saves from de gea and a disallowed perfectly good goal. THat was the difference between the two teams.
SPain did their usual keep ball (they had 55% of it) and scored 2 from 3 real chances.

Rashford proved why he should be starting over Sterling however, should have had a hattrick.

We really need someone in the middle to connect this all up, with a Modric in the middle we would really be challenging for things.

We all know that even if he were eligible they're too stupid to pick him. It comes to the same thing.

But at least he didn't get injured, which is more than can be said for Luke Shaw.

BTW isn't it funny how people like Kane suddenly don't like it when they get a ref giving bollocks decisions against them for a change?

Although we lost Wayne made 3 really good saves and played well throughout.
