What is so wrong in stating up front that bidding companies have to pay their staff the Living Wage for instance? Carillion skewed the bidding process by undercutting the more responsible companies. Obviously I haven't thought this through entirely just trying to make the point that Labour could use a carrot rather than stick approach to achieve their aims. Not sure I agree with that. All tenders have minimum requirements that the bidders are expected to meet. What is so wrong in stating up front that bidding companies have to pay their staff the Living Wage for instance?
