Why? I've never really liked tennis that much. Back in the day it was unmissable, much like snooker and darts. Now I don't watch any of those sports, there are no characters, no one to get behind. Serena, is the only star in the whole of tennis I root for. From day one people has been waiting for her to fall on her ar5e but I think she has conducted herself in a manner that I like. For me, it's kind of like Torvill and Dean. I cannot stand ice skating but even though I don't like it, when I saw those two, you could see that they were just so much better than all the rest. Serena is like that for me in tennis, even in her old age, she is an amazing athlete to watch. Best of the best in her field. I thinks she's great.

As I said previously the womens game is at an all time low, the worst standard it's ever been imo The fact Williams can breeze into the final (and Wimbledon) when she's well past it, ranked 300 odd just coming back from giving birth proves how weak the competition is. She's a great player, don't get me wrong but there's no Navratilova, Seles, Graf in her era. Look at them mens game by comparison, Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, and the rest aren't too shabby either ! Amazed they get equal prize money when they could not be more poles apart in terms of standard. I think the only reason she still plays is because she knows she can just waltz to the final while barely trying so poor is the oppostion - easy money !
