You clearly do not understand cartoons. They are to emphasise by caricature to ridicule society's norms.

have a look at Trump, does he look like that. When he is shown in caricature. Well perhaps not a good example, but you know what I mean.

USA has a lot to learn about racial tolerance, even now.

I respect people of all colours and religion. It is the choice of a cartoonist to ridicule.

Whats worse is the cartoonist has a wife and child who have received death threats.

The lips are particularly offensive. That it is racist is beyond doubt. The white and black characters are treated in completely different ways. Think 1950s America.

Are you seriously suggesting that a cartoonist should be politically correct in how they think of drawing their 'victims'.

She has big lips....Mick Jagger has big lips.....I wonder how cartoonists have drawn him......But because she's black we get the call for different treatment.....we get the 'race' card. If you ridicule someone black it's because you're a racist....No other explanation....'protected class' based on race.

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you a prime example of progressivism.

On LBC yesterday an african woman openly said that lips were bigger on black people so that cant be associated as a racist jibe.
Its a fact just look around today and see it is actually true.

I think the point of a caricature is to exaggerate a person's characteristics for humour. Go back a few hundred years and look at the cartoons of Hogarth and Rawlinson they are very political and quite vicious.

I don't remember the public being up in arms over Spitting Image's portrayal of Maggie and the Tories. As a Conservative myself I found them hilarious (And the vegetables? Oh they'll have the same).

I think the aim of the Serena cartoon was to show her as a spoilt brat which I think the artist achieved. Some groups are very keen on equality well shouldn't that extend to them being ridiculed along with the rest of us?

And yet the paper has republished the image with lots of other celebrities and politicians from other races.

And black Americans or West Indians will often have a large flattened nose, like she has, and has in the cartoon.

A typically ridiculous response.

Satirical cartoons are meant to portray features in a less than complimentary manner, especially if the tone is scathing.
Do we have one rule for Black people and another for Whites in your world?

That sounds like 'racism' to me.

I find it funny when certain individuals take offence on behalf of an entire group of people. It's particularly amusing when they don't even belong to that group.
If I was caricatured in a less than complimentary manner I would not be worrying about what other White people thought or calling it 'racist' even if it was drawn by a black person. Why would you unless you had an agenda?
Some Black people have big lips and some White people have big pointy noses. Deal with it. A caricature is specifically meant to exaggerate some features. That is why it is not called a portrait or a photograph.

Does this really need explaining?

It is just a caricature, it is all context. However it may be funnier to, now, re-publish the cartoon with her with caucasian features. Let's see which one gets the most vitriol.

I don’t have an issue with it personally and don’t there should be one.
