It's important to reward them for the tea making.

Statement from Lord Hall it just shows how deluded the BBC are.

The headline is about the virus but the rest of his statement is more interesting.

To much to pick out but at the moment the BBC has decided it's business as usual. They seem very preoccupied with diversity I would be more worried about losing their licence.

“Every key management group” - wonder how many new hires that entails.
They could do with a couple of advisers on Eastenders. At least someone who’d been anywhere there except Shoreditch.

Stupid headline on the home page of today's BBC website

Virus an "existential threat" to cafe and bar jobs

The actual article is headed "Coronavirus: Cafe and bar jobs 'gone by May' if laws do not change - trade body"

Is an "existential threat" to cafe and bar jobs different to an "plain and ordinary threat"?

Pretty much.

The BBC isn't about informing people about reality and being factual and objective...that's a veneer that gets ever thinner, if it even exists anymore....it's about informing people of what they want them to think.

Look at their coverage on Brexit....it's outright obvious.

They are the biased gatekeepers barring access to inconvenient truths and they hold the megaphone for neo liberalist internationalism.

Their website pushes out the most blatant cultural Marxist propaganda.

If they weren't doing it on public money I wouldn't be so narked about it.

Stirling nailed most of it. It's not just the fact they are doing it on public money (that's kind of a given), it's the frivolous waste, huge wages and lack of accountability.
Gone is live football coverage, science programmes (Horizon, Tomorrows World, etc), and world famous period dramas.

Hello reality TV, cheap outdoors events and celebrity 5hllte

Hey make sure you don't say anything Midlands Eagle is bored of because he'll lock the sodding thread.

Over control.

This guy is restricting speech on topics depending upon how he's feeling about it.....I'm getting concerned about the level of interventionism we are seeing on Hol.
