Played much better second half. I think we'll need to find a way to get Meyer in as he picks out really good passes. With luck on our side we win. With luck on our side and better finishing we win easily.

We played well everywhere apart from in front of goal, which makes everything else we did a bit pointless, it's like Groundhog Day the Palace edition, we've not been able to score consistently for so long now and it doesn't appear to be being dealt with.

On the positive side Meyer looked alright and at least Newcastle didn't nick it in the 90th minute.

Don't need Sherlock Holmes to see where the problem lies. 3 clean sheets now this season. No real attack, relying on the likes of Sakho and JMac to get the goals. Unfortunately not a lot can be done until Jan or somebody starts finding the net. COYP !!

Newcastle were very well organised defensively, but it's still frustrating not to get the win. Meyer coming on seemed to get us moving the ball quicker and if Sakho hadn't gone for the photo finish we would have won. AWB for me the best player, but both fullbacks got forward well (and had little to do at the back). The other players seriously need to get some shooting practise in though, as we can't expect Wilf to come up with a worldy every week.

On a side note, good that the camera got a clear shot of the Newcastle tw*t who threw the bottle at AWB. Lifetime ban for a moronic action on its way.

Palace were not quick enough out of the starting blocks. This was a home game against fellow strugglers.
Meyer and zaha linked well.
Difficult not to feel disappointed

We should have won that game that's for certain.
Meyer was a major plus when he came on and this should be the start of him in the team from here on in.

Newcastle are one god awful negative football team

If only we had a decent striker. That Soerloth chap should have his contract torn up. Who in their right mind decided to sign him ????. He is beyond a joke.

I hope to god they are lining up a decent striker for January.

If his player-registration wasn’t still with Southend Utd, I’d be pressing for a Dougie recall.

Incidentally, is he doing a bit of striker-coaching?
