Like I said it's impossible to compare from different generations,it's down to styles not different generations. If you was tysons trainer you would pick foreman over fury without a doubt. Tyson in his prime looked amazing but his prime lasted nowhere near long enough to call him great. Still belive a peak Lewis would beat a peak Tyson. One of his greatest victories was against Holmes, he was old and retired that shows you the calibre of fighters Tyson fought. Holmes, technically great, one of the most underrated heavyweights of all time. Was just unlikable and dominated during a time he had no real competition and came straight after ali. So will never go down as an all time great.

Haye lost because his body was failing him. Valuev lost because he couldn't get down the beanstalk.

To some people's but will never get the credit he deserves, born in the wrong generation and dominated during a poor era. Technically arguably the best ever, apparently used to completely school ali when he was his sparring partner Tho ali was infamously terrible in the gym sparring. Speak to people about the greatest heavyweights you will get Dempsey, louis, Ali, Tyson and Lewis mentioned. Rarely will people ever mention Holmes alongside them.

Was a little bitter and didn't have Ali's looks or charm.
He was unfortunate to have to beat Ali when he was losing his health and then reign in that post Ali period when boxing was in the doldrums. He was recognised by those who know boxing but never loved as a champion. He has a lot more respect retrospectively.
