It's hard to say for sure because neither man has fought anyone good and in their prime.

I think it is hard to imagine that Fury can beat Wilder after two laughable warm up fights after so long out of the ring. He will also have to knock him out to win in the US.
This is very much a money fight for Fury, He knows he can take a loss, blame it on his lay off or a home decision and still have a domestic payday against AJ later.

Don't be surprised if Fury or indeed Wilder pull out of the December fight.

There are good arguments against either of them taking that fight.

In the fight against Douglas, Douglas worked out a strategy to beat Tyson. Tyson's previous fights ended early, no longer than 5 rounds so Douglas worked his jab and kept out of range. Sure enough Tyson tired in the later rounds and Douglas took him out in the 10th. Now perhaps Tyson thought he was invincible at that point and took his eye off the ball, didn't prepare well enough.

But that remains the question, if he doesn't bulldoze his opponent and get the KO early doors, he fades and ends up getting outboxed. Evander Holyfield was used to going the distance, he had great stamina and a great chin. He beats Tyson all day long. How many fights did Tyson win on points? 1 I believe ?

Whether he would have the same success in this era is debatable because the sport has moved on

You say that AJ struggled against Povetkin, must have been watching a different fight, I thought AJ was comfortable all night.

Douglas was a bang average fighter. If you believe that he fought the best Tyson that night then good luck with that. Tyson even knocked Douglas out but the ref did a slow count.
If you read Tyson's book you will understand why his boxing went rapidly down hill. You only need to see the Douglas fight compard to previous fights to see how his ring demeanor had changed and his performance was declining. There is no comparison between the early and declining Tyson.
AJ looked awkward and nervous against Povetkin. He would have been blasted out early against prime Tyson. I'm not sure why you think boxing has improved so much recently. There has been no great heavyweight since Lennox Lewis. If he and Tyson were around now and in shape, they would dominate.

Bruno might of been scared but AJ wouldn't have been.
