I’d be gutted if any of my kids supported another team. It’s not optional they’ve all been taken Palace at an early age , my youngest went to his first game on Saturday.
If they don’t like football that’s fine, but why wouldn’t you encourage them to support your team? You are obviously a proper fan if you can be bothered to moderate a message board.
I want as much in common with my kids as possible, my kids would never follow another team, why would they?
My mums a Charlton season ticket holder (from abbey wood) my dad was Palace (from Dulwich), so I had a choice.
Don’t understand why you don’t care less, but it’s your choice.

I understand you point but to me growing up palace was about my mates. My dad didn't support anyone really followed the Irish at Arsenal and had soft spot for Wimbledon later. My mum wanted to keep it easy thought palace was a better choice then Chelsea or Millwall and we could get there on the 68 bus.
So it was mainly mates I went with, and have had lots of great times with them over years.
I moved to Brighton in 2000 jobs and the misses, my children both born down here and support Brighton I'd rather they grow up with their own stupid mates and stupid tales
Still the 3-2 was funny,

I'm married to a Millwall fan from a Millwall family and she's actually more of a pain in the arse about it than her old man who's a great bloke. Ultimately it's all just banter and football isn't it, other than the moronic few who are actually willing to kick your head in over it.

Don’t waste your money. If your kids didn’t follow you to Palace.when they lived with you, youve got no chance with your grand kids.

not true.
always try to convert those heathens!
I've 2 chels.supporting son inlaws.
1 is full on chels others a bit wishy-washy.
(the mums know the true faith & have the lads in palace kit)
I've even got a nephew in norn iron turned from manc. to palace.

The main clincher is that first footy match, take the boys to Palace before they go elsewhere, hopefully a good day, buy a scarf or top etc.
it sticks.

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.
