There are so many ifs and buts that I've genuinely no idea. WBA being at home may prove to be the deciding factor in their favour.

There was reason why WBA were relegated and Palace will underline that. WBA are still too slow in playing the ball out of defence and this will lead to a dead game with Palace scoring the one goal.

Uncle Roy will obviously make a lot of changes and I’ve got a feeling they’ll want it a bit more than us, plus they’ve got Dwight Gayle!!

So 2-0 to them with Dwight scoring both!!

I think W.B.A will fancy themselves here and play a strong squad with a 2-0 win to them.League survival is our priority especially given evident lack of striker force.

WBA have momentum having won their last 6 home games in all competitions and will want to keep that going in order to help them in the league.Supporters once dejected by their relegation now have a certain 'feelgood factor' and WBA will want that to continue, hence could well field a strong team.

One suspect we will field a much changed team and could use that as an excuse if/when we get defeated !

Against Swansea the problem didn't seem to be the fact we had a weak team but rather that they looked like they were ill prepared and struggled to work as a team. As the game went on they became more familiar and we eventually got control of the game. If WBA play their first team and we play a weakened team I expect we'll lose in 90mins, but I don't think either team will risk their key players for this tournament.

I can see this ending 1-1 with WBA winning on penalties.

A lard-@r5ed TV presenter will swan around the local pubs, getting as many pre-match beers bought for him, as he possibly can.
At least he won't be putting them on BBC expenses,

,....or will he ?

I don't think that Gayle started in their previous Carabao Cup matches (Luton,Mansfield) - think he came on as a sub v Mansfield in the 2-1 home win.Not sure if he scored or not !

I suspect that Myhill will start in goal and there might be places in the squad for Sam Field, Rakeem Harper, Kyle Edwards,Connor Townsend perhaps even Hal Robson-Kanu.Don't think that Jay Rodriguez has played in the Carabao Cup this season. In terms of strikers they have Rodriguez,Gayle and Robson-Kanu but Leko can also play there although I think he is a winger by trade and a fast one at that.

Gven that it is the 3rd round and they are playing PL opposition, WBA might well field a stronger side than they did against Luton and Mansfield and of course they will want to build on the momentum as I have mentioned earlier.

Surely if Roy does make a lot of changes the new boys that he brings in will bust a gut to impress
