Without the video evidence.....with the current crop of morons we have in positions of power.....it's possible that he could have gone to jail.....and without any doubt he would have had this stain on his character for the rest of his life.

I was expecting the usual BS mitigation from them, "suffering from emotional trauma, she's an abuse survivor, out of character etc." I guess she didn't take their advice. On a more serious note a mate of mine was falsely accused I was with him just before the alleged incident which supposedly happened in a pub. The pub is the size of a sitting room and was packed that day so apparently we all missed his attack. It was really about revenge for a family feud, he spent the weekend in jail before being released no charges. How she wasn't charged with perjury I do not know. Probably because they decided that there wasn't enough evidence to get the CPS to proceed with the case, rather than that he was totally innocent of the charges. The default setting in these cases seems to be that he may have done what she said he did, but they can't prove it, but that doesn't mean, necessarily that he is innocent and she is guilty of laying a false charge.
