It's international women's day, so refers to no single nation but all nations. The producers of corrie decided they were going to do an episode to mark this for women globally, because if you look at pefwins post there are still places where women don't have a voice and I doubt the people that run these country's are in any rush to change that anytime soon. The producers of corrie decided they were going to do an episode to mark this for women globally, because if you look at pefwins post there are still places where women don't have a voice and I doubt the people that run these country's are in any rush to change that anytime soon.

I think the 2 examples you give probably add strength to the argument that women's rights globally aren't what they should be.
