Actually you're probably much better off with Trinidad than you would be with the place named in its stead in the original German version of Toch's Fuge aus der Geographie (Geographical Fugue), which was Raciborz (Ratibor), a beastly little dump in southern Poland. Even the name is horrible.

There's a reason Trinidad isn't on any holiday shows - if you have to that way stop at Tobago.

See palace play a couple of rounds of competitive European football at Selhurst, not so much against the big European teams now because I doubt we’d get that far and it would only be europa league, but I’d be happy to see us play against famous old European teams from my youth, back in the 70’s and 80’s for example, Red Star Belgrade, Hadjuk Split, St Etienne, Borussia Munchengladbach, Ajax, Dinamo Kiev etc

As a motor sport fan, I’ve done the British F1 GP and MotoGP several times, but I’d like to go abroad and do a few races, also I’d like to do the Indianapolis 500 in the states

Always fancied joining the barmy army and doing every ashes test match down under

And an old firm game!!

any local Lincolnshire derby games involving Grimsby Town, scunthorpe Utd or Lincoln City (not Boston Utd who may be defunct now not just out of the league).

Before being exiled to the Midlands I lived in South Devon for six years where Joel Garner was playing club cricket. He may have been 45 but he was still nine feet tall and bowling very fast indeed.

I used to think it very unfair for opposing batsmen who had spent the week working in the shop or as a sparky or similar to have to face him at the weekend.

Inadvertently saw the Long Beach indy car race from the marina area.
We parked a car, and slept in it the night before in what we thought was just another public car park. When we tried to move the car in the morning we were told that the roads were closed due to the race being on. We had to park in the marina car park.
Went off for a wander, when we got back to the car there was a big note on the windscreen, thought we had pi**ed someone off, it was a private car park. The note said we had left the keys in the door, and that they were with some guys on one of the yachts.
Spent the rest of the afternoon drinking on the yacht with some lovely people.
Got a $15 parking ticket on the hire car...never did pay it, think I've still got it somewhere.

Buy the way, I have absolutely no interest in motor racing.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Monkey, you forgot Vitoria Setubal and of course Dukla Prague. Or maybe they were 60s. The old memory isn’t what it was.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Just looked for the parking ticket and also found:-

Ticket/program for Australia vs England (we won 1-0) along with my arrest sheet for running on the pitch
was trying to shake Geoff Thomas' hand!

Ticket/program for Fa cup semi vs Liverpool.

FA cup final tickets (both) + replay .

Various tickets/programs for rugby, cricket and Aussie rules games from when I was in Aus.

Of course Dukla Prague, good shout, and how about Lokomotiv Leipzig? Or Grasshoppers?

Excellent! I used to retain Újpesti Dózsa (I’ve seen alternative spellings) in my mind as a potential quiz question answer. Primarily because they lost to Newcastle in the 1969 final of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup - the forerunner of the UEFA Cup and then the Europa League. This was Newcastle’s last major trophy (not that we can shout, of course).
