Why not make a constructive comment instead of just rubbishing someone's suggestion

Wilf appears to have been negatively impacted by the media attention following his comments about being targeted. Roy didn't exactly back him when questioned about Wilf's comments and I wonder if this has upset him? I love Wilf, but he is very much still ruled by his emotions. When he's happy and smiling he is unstoppable, but when things go against him he is prone to disappearing.

I find it frustrating as the next person that we seem to struggle creatively without him, but selling him would just significantly weaken us. The key is not playing without him, but getting him to lift his chin and get back to playing as he was only four games ago. In the age of the internet it is hard to have patience, but I believe that is all that is required here.

It may also be time to rock the cradle a bit and start both Meyer and Kouyate, as the midfield is not contributing with goals and both of our new signings look like they could find the net if given more time on the pitch.

It's not a question of whether he should go - its a question of whether a club will pay what we're looking for and the answer to that is NO.

He's not worth 60m to anyone else but he is to us. He's signed a long contract and we should build the team around him and improve.

Is it constructive to suggest selling your best player? The thread was started by someone who is frustrated at current progress, but encouraging the best player to go is stupid.
Zaha is bit of enigma, it’s all or nothing with him. When he plays well, he is unstoppable, but when clubs mark him out of the game, he appears clueless and goes missing.

The answer isn't to sell him imo. I think Wilf needs to go back on the wing and given less of a free role for now. Townsend should be on the other wing. We are playing too narrow and haven't been good enough to play this system

I'm no seaweed pal!!

Wilf is magic, we would not be where we are now without him.

But here's the truth, he is on an extended contract to ensure we get decent money for him.

He will leave sometime, prob in summer, but if he gets dissolutioned may agitate for a move come Jan.

HE is carrying us, opponents know if they nullify wilf they nullify palace.

Winter window is crucial..but I don't think we have vast financial resource to flop out 50m on the striker we need..even if we did 32m bentekkers anyone??

We may NEED to sell to get that striker.

Might as well do it Jan while wilfs stock is high and get used to a way of playing that isn't centric around him, if we limp through and manage to stay up then we will be better prepared for the next.

Another poster also said if we go down then wilf will 100% be sold ..for a lesser value..vultures aren't vultures for nothing.

Enjoy him now, hope he gets us some points before Jan, then we have have a swift revolution..we HAVE to change or we will be back to square one in the championship.

Under certain circumstances it could be of benefit to sell your best player as long as the proceeds are used wisely and that is where I disagree with the suggestion as I don't have sufficient faith in the club's management to spend the money wisely

wilf's price should only ever be: can we improve the team from the proceeds of selling him. it doesn't matter if that price is £1 or £300m. I don't believe we have the skills in the transfer market to do that based on the price we'd likely get.

I wonder if the capoue tackle actually put fear in his heart, or whether he's injured. what I do find odd is how placid he's become. it had been that he almost needed to wind himself up and get a yellow before he could play. now he's calmer but the aggression and desire to humiliate a full back has gone (for a while).

maybe Roy's told him he's got to adapt his game bit and he's learning some new skills.

Not much point him being on the wing. He can put a 100 balls across the box but while we have the invisible man to get on the end of them its pointless

With the majority( I hope) blessing.

Needs to be for the sake of your career and the club to be able to move forward, we have been found out..stop zaha, by whatever means, stop palace.

Wilf would have more time to do his 'thing' with quality players around him, because it would not just be him.

And palace desperately need to find a way to play without him.

Miraculously we may not even go down, because there are 3 teams worse than us ..at the moment..but I would expect all of them to rally.

PALACE need to look to the future, sadly wilf is part of the past now.

Behave Rob
