Okay, so a couple of weeks ago I said I wasn’t coming on here anymore because of the constant negativity, but I want to get a few things off my chest after what I have seen of the post match meltdown both on here and Twitter and in the pub!! I have heard “Roy out”: Really?? A COUPLE and that’s all it is a COUPLE of bad results and our so called “ unique fan base” turns on the most calm, influential and respectable manager we have had in years?? Who would you want to replace him boys? Steve Bruce? I have heard “let Zaha go in January” Probably the funniest one I have seen all day!! Okay, we’re struggling and the solution is to sell our best and probably best ever player in the next window- Go to bed mate! I have heard “Drop Luka” how about no! How about appreciate the dogged work he puts in every time he plays, watch him, he is constantly running and putting opposition under pressure. Plus- who would you make captain? I have heard - “Benteke is the worst striker in the premier league” No he isn’t, he scored 18 goals 2 seasons ago and has lost a lot of confidence and your ridiculous chanting of songs about him have done him no favours. He is still quality , but a guy very low on confidence I have heard “we miss Benteke” believe it or not, the people saying this are the same people sl@gging him off!! Another funny one- “Drop Wilf, he is too inconsistent” only one thing to put back to that- LOL Now let me tell you the facts: KNOW OUR PLACE AND BE HAPPY!! We are not going down!!! Mark my words there are three worse teams than us and that is a fact!!!! Another thing- I genuinely can’t wait for the HF to return, I also believe that is of huge importance to our home form

Trying to make out he’s been consistently scoring goals.. 15 of those came in his first season... He has scored 2 from open play since then.... They guy is completely f***ing useless, however he is, quite disgracefully the best we have... We’ve had 3 transfer windows to sort this problem out and the best we can come up with is Sorloth and Ayew... The calls to sell Wilf are quite rightly ridiculous but he has been poor the last 3 games... Today I had to keep checking he was actually still on the pitch he was that non existent.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

I was gonna post exactly that during the game, but I couldn’t wrench my hands away from clenching my head.

Beyond the striker issues why in Jan was Jach and Rakip signed ? We were tied to sign a striker as well, whose ability to compete at this level is still open to question. 5 seasons in the PL and we are doing these type of deals.

Premier league football / money is sucking the life out of everyone and we're at the point now where you accept that eventually things will run their course and we'll get relegated or someone with sh!t loads of money will buy the club and we'll lose our identity. A lose, lose situation.

Fulham spent a tidy wedge as well. We never spent this type of cash when we were promoted. So now we have to compete with the clubs in the league and the promoted ones and as above the inevitable situation will occur.

Not sure it's as simple as I put across but sounds like rich foreign owner "sponsors" the club and opens the door to put a similarly stupid amount of money into buying players.

And also we have £100 mill plus to find to build the new stand,ok the yanks invested £50 mill and the other board members have another £50 mill to find to make it up,this £50 mill is probably the amount we would need to spend to find a 20+ goals a season striker,so at the mo its a case of treading water to be able to expand the stadium to then be able to spend a few extra quid on the squad,so if it takes another 3 seasons or so of just scraping thru and finishing 17th I personally would take that to see progress of the club as a whole......sorry to waffle on but I hope that makes sense........
