Taxi for Dougie.'

It's Palace so it's like this

And then we were mostly in a collective love-in when we got Meyer and Kayoute.

We keep thinking, this is the year we won't be in a relegation battle and it always is the same.

Eventually it got Villa and Sunderland.

It's the hope that kills you

Good points here. My major concern is our transfer dealings. Beyond the striker issues why in Jan was Jach and Rakip signed ? We were tied to sign a striker as well, whose ability to compete at this level is still open to question. 5 seasons in the PL and we are doing these type of deals.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Wasnt sure what post to put this on

The positives i take with hope i may add are that...

We surely will get better as cant get a lot worse.
Even though we are playing rubbish we are not getting gubbed.
We have strikers to come back.
The defence looks to be doing its job in the main anyhow.

Maybe im clutching as straws but thats my own take on it.

This is the biggest problem. We finished ladt season so well, playing some of the best football I've seen us play. We bought an excellent goalkeeper, a strong box to box midfielder, the 'German messi' and a striker who's scored goals in the premiership. We had a decent pre season. Won our first game.....and now the wheels have fallen off and it looks like we've gone backwards....

Nigel?? Shut up mate!!
How is it lack of ambition? 6 years in this league don’t mean nothing no more. Due to the money in the league, any one can compete and apart from the top 6 , Man City arsenal Tottenham chelsea Liverpool Man Utd, everyone else is in a relegation battle of some degree in the season. Now and again you will have an underdog break into Europe, Burnley for example and then you will have a bigger team relegated like villa etc.

Lack of ambition lol not at all just realistic unlike yourself and most other fans, I mean look at West Brom, Swansea and Sunderland getting relegated last year? They were all longer than 6 years in this league. Doesn’t mean nothing,

I agree. Any club that lets a small group of supporters dictate where they want to sit is proper mickey mouse.

You think its that simple do you?

Not at all. It was meant to be a bit of a joke but perhaps not a very good one.

Just making the point the type of money needed would probably be from an owner with not one iota of interest in engaging with a small group of fans.

The likes of Bournemouth, Fulham and Wolves have had some serious money thrown at them. Doesn't excuse some of our poor recruitment mind.

Yep and they are getting Arse treatment today.

And it continues with another unbelievable statement from a fellow “palace fan”

I’m completely done

Swordfish thank you for a 'get real' post, we used to think of ourselves as made of stern stuff, we have had to be.
Moaners have always abounded but we have become dependant on the HF to create an atmosphere and it seems we can't rouse ourselves to acknowledge some decent play albeit unproductive and we are not getting behind the team. Haven't we all sat through wet miserable afternoons when we just didn't get anywhere, we knew yesterday would be tough and it was, although the guy behind me kept talking about how S... they were, that was not exactly right, they just knew how to play us and Zaha got nowhere because of that and not having enough other quality up front. One ingredient we can contribute is our voice but.....we only seem to know how to moan and whine, just like the other prem teams we always have felt a bit superior to, well......WE are not much cop at the moment.
