So, not within the 14 days stated by their own Fans' Charter but 23 days later, the club has started responding to the lengthy emails sent by many of those from block E being displaced.
Shame it's a generic email sent to everyone, but better than no response at all and confirmation from the club that the meeting we demanded from them IS going ahead.

The paragraph that really got my goat was
I think we all agree that the atmosphere has suffered lately and therefore the addition of an official singing area will go some way to improve this.

Yes, the atmosphere has changed because some other fans, not those in block E, have decided to either stop coming or to change HOW they attend games. That's not my fault!!

The HF gave themselves a self inflicted wound and folk in Block E, and in fact all in the lower tier are being punished for it.
It's outrageous.

I think on reflection I’d go further than the club are proposing and have a full reset of the lower tier. Reading the BBS it seems like the best way to make the singing section as big and successful as possible whilst also giving the E400 options in the Holmesdale lower, other than mostly the front of block B or other stands.

The one problem with satisfying people aside from ‘’ no way am I moving’’ is if the seats are released in order of years or loyalty points then you will get cases of people who sit together being several priority stages apart.

Wonder if the 'open' day will be Open to ALL, or just Open to the HF/E400 only?

I doubt many clubs have such a weak Chairman, who gives preferential treatment to one section of his club's supporters, and has complete disregard to others who in many cases have been loyal fans for decades.

As has been proved from another thread, Palace are one of many clubs who don't actually NEED supporters in the ground for games, financially. So basically, Tough Tittie

That's ridiculous,if Palace get relegated they will be in enormous debt, and will be grateful for every single fan coming through the turnstiles .
I hardly think threads on this site are proof of anything.

So why build a new stand to increase the capacity?

A new stand is not just about seats. It is about image, facilities, comfort and safety.
It amazes me that there are still some people who are content with the ramshackle dump that Selhurst is right now.

We should be asking when the rest of the ground is getting done rather than why we need a new stand.
