You know full well that the point, from the pro singing section, is the atmosphere they help create. To many, perhaps not you, a good stadium atmosphere makes it more enjoyable.

You may not agree, that’s your choice and that’s fine. But maybe you should acknowledge others opinions and then you might be able to understand a different viewpoint from yours and then be able engage in the conversation/debate.

For the record, I, and I’m sure most, don’t feel that it’s necessarily right to move long term supporters from their seats, however it’s clear the atmosphere has suffered since HF have stopped attending as a group. SP agrees, hence why he’s now accommodating them. There has to be a halfway solution to satisfy all parties.

The original HF idea of resetting the whole lower tier was a fair one as the people who had been there longest would have got first choice of seats and remained in the Holmesdale. The box office obviously didn’t fancy the admin to do that.

Alternatively, if a suitable ‘compensation’ or good will gesture could be put together for those effected, perhaps that would be enough to keep both side happy? The reported 50% off next season plus 10% club shop voucher is an insult. If they were offered a free season ticket for next year, £100 club shop voucher and guaranteed first choice seats in the new stand, at the same price as the lower Holmesdale, I think there would less fuss over this. Ticket sales only represent a fraction of the clubs revenue, so this would be a drop in the ocean as far as Palaces finances go.

I don’t think they HF have covered themselves in glory in the way they have handled this, but if SP has made a promise to them which he hasn’t kept, this is probably the only way for the HF to make a stand and force his hand. The reality is that as a group they are very effective and do far more then any other fan group or individuals. For that reason I believe they have earned the special treatment they are receiving.

Apart from it being unfair and that you don’t like it, what do you think is the best solution to keep all sides happy?

There is no solution.
The HF & Parish have created a totally unworkable and farcical situation.
The HF were doing a perfectly good job in Block B,and should have stayed there. All they gave succeeded in doing is alienating a group of Palace fans who have also been "very effective" in supporting their team, over many years.
How does a person qualify for a seat in the "singing section" anyway?
What if the current residents of Block E decide they will be the "singing section"?
And if a fan is thought not to be singing enough will they be ejected ?
If you are going to give certain groups of supporters of the same club special treatment over the others, then we might as well all pack up and go home.
To say the HF do far more than any other Palace fans is just insulting to thousands of other Palace fans,as well as being untrue.

Could you clarify, what you mean by such a statement. It is particularly insulting to many fans, who have been going to Selhurst through thick and thin for 40-50 years and more.

Will you be applying for a seat or joining in the chants? When the first display of next season goes up will you be the only one not holding a card or waving a flag

I have been supporting our team at 'Selhurst' for more years than probably each and very one of the HF have lived.Any my word, I have fervently supported the team through all the troughs, travelling in all weathers by car, train and coach and in bygone days often getting soaked to the skin on open terraces. And I of course am not alone and there might be others in this category who are amongst the supporters being relocated to accommodate the HF.

They spend their spare time creating fanatastic displays (two p**** towers, excluded) for the enjoyment of all Palace fans, they sing tirelessly for 90 minutes every game to try and help the team by lifting the stadium, they turn 45 mins before the kick off to get behind the team during the warm up.

Your average fan will do none of the above. They will sit in silence, moan constantly and join in with the occasional chant for 10 seconds after we score. What does this type of fan actually add? People may find my suggestion insulting, and if so, they need to get over themselves. The HF type of fan makes Selhurst Park a vibrant place and different from other English clubs.

If you can’t recognise that they put more into than your average Joe, you need a reality check.

Some stereotyping !

Clearly there are those who believe that supporters, many of whom have supported through thick and thin for decades, are "Average" whilst the HF are somehow far higher on the totem pole.

I recognise what the HF have brought to 'Selhurst' but I wouldn't be so dismissive of the rest of the supporters.

This whole issue has generated a great deal of dissonance and is proving very divisive.

You need to consider a reality check yourself. The average fan as you put it, doesn't just disappear in an attempt to bully others, if they don't get their own way. They continue to support the team as they have for years. The crowd has been loud in the past and will continue to be, with or without the HF.

I agree with the general thrust of your sentiments.
