Pardew’s project, Frank’s diabolically planned project (because Parish heard the words youth development), repeated fvck ups, one striker, no striker, 6 defenders, no 2nd left back, sub standard scouting, no scouting, players signed on big transfers and wages, no signings, signings that don’t play, will never play, right hand yes men that have no experience, no continuity, saying there’s no point in continuity because managers don’t last. That should cover it, or should I go on? I haven’t even started on formations. Do our signings even fit the intended or only formation our manager plays?

Let’s keep it to the subject and matters around it like a full or half tier reset and compensation rather than should it be happening and how ghastly, preposterous or ridiculous it is because it’s happening, but it’s been handled very poorly, not how a multi million pound business should handle it.

Cue another page of puncture repair man frothing his disgust.

100 percent agree with the above. I have read all the pages in this thread and have read one valid argument (IMO) in that, some old fans have a support network that they rely on to help them on match days and that should be taken into account when and if people get relocated.

Other than that it's just been a load of myopic, self indulgent, load of old whoof. "It's not fair ", "I've been here years ", " why should I move just for them ".

It's pathetic, puncture repair man has been repeatedly ( I use him as an example as he seems to be waving the myopic flag the most vigorously), been asked to explain his morale outrage and indignation, by me and others, all he does is repeat the same tired arguments that I have mentioned above.

What about the fans that love the energy and the atmosphere the HF create ? do they not deserve to have that atmosphere back ? I'm sure if you asked the players they would prefer the old atmosphere over the stale Emirates-esq hush that has descended over Selhurst recently.

But hey as long as you don't have to move seats, what does the atmosphere matter ?

And don't start back at me with the HF this and the HF that. I agree for the umpteenth time they have acted petulantly IMO.However......the Atmosphere is s*** without them so get them back and as long as you can still watch the game, other than having your nose put out of joint, whats the problem ?

They should have encouraged natural growth of the "singing section" from where they currently were. Eventually, if it caught on, it would migrate towards the middle as it expanded in any case.

Because the HF stand all match there will always be a problem if people around them are sitting. So just moving them lock stock and barrel into the middle is going to create problems. If just one person writes to the league and suggests CPFC are advocating standing within an all seater stadium then CPFC could well be on very thin ice.

The ultimate answer to this is to put forward a plan for safe standing for the whole of the LH and many of the problems disappear as the singers can gravitate to whatever part of the LH they like then. The capacity would increase for the ground and those displaced from seats who want to sit could be moved into the increased capacity of the new stand.

Obviously this all takes time to implement, so they should be encouraged for now to go back to where they were and to expand gradually whilst other plans are put in place. This is the only way everyone can be kept happy in the short term.

Not the case. The only safe standing that would get through the authorities would be rails in front of folding seats.

Therefore you still have an allocated seat and there is no increase in capacity.

All good. Nothing bad.

Firstly ahhhhh didums you're exactly the type of person I'm referring to.Happy to attack my opinion and views but can't back it up other than for the lame ass reasons I have already stated.

And how are they being shafted exactly ? please tell me because you must've been talking to Sp direct as nothing has been settled, in fact at this moment in time it's just as likely that the "I'm not moving brigade" could end up with a better seat !! no one knows least of all you.

Secondly I suggest you look up the hypocrite, here let me help:

Hypocrite

a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.

So please tell me how stating that the HF IMO have acted churlishly, in anyway links to my opinion that the atmosphere is better with them.

It's a simple statement of fact. No HF, no atmosphere.

If your saying I should back your bunch of windbags just because I think the HF have gone about it the wrong way then I'm sorry but your stretching the definition of hypocrite a tad far.

As for being a bully LOL! have a read of your own post, and have a look in the mirror pal. And just for your info I say nothing on here I wouldn't say to anyone's face preferably over a beer or two.

Get over yourself

I am obliged to one of our fellow HOLers for pointing out the following.

It appears the email asking if we would like to come may have had the wrong reply email

The email from Paul McGowan gave the response email address as box.office@cpfc.co.uk

The normal box office address is boxoffice@cpfc.co.uk

If this proves to have been a mistake it's a pretty poor one. And if it was a mistake surely there should be a second mail explaining that and giving the correct address.

Hopefully it's just that a second email address has been set up to take our queries, sadly however I have little confidence.

Piss-up in a brewery...…

Have you had a reply now?

Yes I had a quick reply early this morning Rach.

But no confirmation that they would bring along the information I requested, such as how the seats in the singing section will be allocated

I also had a ticket receipt which states I have ordered a 'waiting list'. I certainly have not! Still, at least it was a zero charge receipt.

If I have understood matters accurately, I believe that supporters DO recognise what the HF have brought to 'Selhurst' with their displays and vocal support.

Seemingly what many cannot abide are the circumstances leading up to the impending move of the HF to Block B and the impact on long-standing season ticket holders.
The narrative appears to be of the HF throwing toys out of prams, doing a flounce, getting what they want and not giving a flying flamingo about fellow supporters inconvenienced by their move.HF getting preferential treatment over loyal fans and all that.

Perhaps many have concluded, rightly or wrongly, that the HF are a mere transient body, content to bask in the glory of the PL but whose numbers and fervent support would dwindle significantly if the club are relegated whilst those who have supported through thick and thin and have been relocated to accomodate the HF continue to support as they have done season after season. This of course might not transpire at all and that their judgement will prove to be awry.

I recognise the atmosphere created by the HF and can see the PR,marketing and commercial advantages but I also understand why many supporters are incandescent with rage over this whole issue.

Parish has mentioned "For the greater good" and he clearly believes that the ends justify the means.

Willo you are wasting your time trying to debate reasonably with people like Danny becuse anybody who has a different viewpoint is just subject to a tirade of abuse and sarcasm and told in so many words to feck off. They have absolutely no sympathy for anybody who is being moved by a bunch of bullies who have blackmailed Parish into moving loyal supporters against their will. I may be wrong but it's only players who win matches not some mythical"atmosphere".

Ohhhh the irony. I've been directly called all sorts on here for airing my opinion everything from Bully to hypocrite and bigot. ALL BY PEOPLE who are doing that exact thing LOL. Correct me If I'm wrong but I'm allowed to have a different opinion to you, Couldn't give a s*** if you don't like it, thats your prerogative.

Also I never said I didn't have any sympathy just that I thought people were being overly precious about moving seats, I even went as far to agree with one poster who stated that the elderly rely on the people around them as a support network and that needs to be maintained.

But your right I do consider it only a minor inconvenience for people to have to move seat, some people are going on like they're having their houses repossessed and their kids sold in to slavery, you appear to be of that ilk along with the puncture fixer and a few others.

Sorry if that offends (actually no I'm not) but I say things as I see them. Don't like it ? don't read it or don't reply, or actually keep going because your resorting to the actual thing you're accusing me of which is absolutely hilarious.

I'm not sure the likes of Puncture repair man do to be honest, I think he's to busy frothing at the corner of his mouth to give the HF credit for anything. But I will happily apologise if he shows me to be wrong on that.

Seemingly what many cannot abide are the circumstances leading up to the impending move of the HF to Block B and the impact on long-standing season ticket holders.

I agree the way the HF went about things (from what has been described) appears petulant, but just to put petulance in some form of context Ian Wright was one of the most petulant footballers I have ever seen at Palace but we loved him (until the Arsenal thing but that's another story....) My point being it is possible to think of someone as petulant but ultimately agree with what they are trying to achieve.

I also think this word "impact" when used in relation to having to move seats in a football stadium is a little bit dramatic, inconvenienced may be more apt.

The narrative appears to be of the HF throwing toys out of prams, doing a flounce, getting what they want and not giving a flying flamingo about fellow supporters inconvenienced by their move.HF getting preferential treatment over loyal fans and all that.

Well yes I totally agree, and like a great many things I think the club has handled this appallingly on both sides, as I do know for a fact that certain promises were made by the club to the HF, and the reneged upon which lead to the initial fall out, Que lots of hand wringing from the club and a fair amount of face saving to make the HF out to be the guilty party. That I do know and have from the horses mouth so to speak. In effect the HF were essentially lied to and thats why they bounced. They still go just sit in other parts of the ground, but of course it could've been handled better by both parties club and fans alike.

Perhaps many have concluded, rightly or wrongly, that the HF are a mere transient body, content to bask in the glory of the PL but whose numbers and fervent support would dwindle significantly if the club are relegated

The HF have been an organised group since 2005 supporting the club home and away without fail that's 13 years for anyone whose accusing them of being glory hunting flash in the pans. So I do not accept that part of the argument as it's just simply wrong.

whilst those who have supported through thick and thin and have been relocated to accomodate the HF continue to support as they have done season after season. This of course might not transpire at all and that their judgement will prove to be awry.

No one is yet certain of what is even being proposed but as with everything Palace it seems to being dealt with very half arsed in deed, and mirrors our transfer policy (or lack thereof) the snail like pace of news of the grounds redevelopment, and the clubs seemingly lack of any real expertise in any area at all really.

But I can't imagine Palace will sling fans to the back of the Arthur So feathers are being ruffled and dummy's spat out to in the name of what is essentially hearsay.

I recognise the atmosphere created by the HF and can see the PR,marketing and commercial advantages but I also understand why many supporters are incandescent with rage over this whole issue.

Incandescent is the bit I have the issue with, they'r potentially being asked to move seats in a football ground, not donate a kidney to Piers Morgan, it should be a minor irritant, not the seemingly life ending spectacle some have turned it into, but that's just how I see it. And yes your right the HF do have a commercial value to the club, which unfortunately none of the rest of do add that extra something so I think the decision will be commercially driven in the end.

Parish has mentioned "For the greater good" and he clearly believes that the ends justify the means.

I think in a nutshell he's right.

Tell you what Willo old chum if your the voice of reason around here things have certainly taken a turn for the surreal

I've tried to answer your points where I can, but as is the way of things its just my own opinion, hopefully I won't get called a bigot or such like for airing it.

You know what I was thinking this thread is almost echoing the Brexit thread LOL

"Voice of reason" !!!! I suspect many have concluded that I am full of hot air like a good souffle !

Regards your second point, everyone's entitled to their opinion and of course we don't get pandemic approval for all our viewpoints.I'm not into hurling personal insults and whilst I am prepared to argue my case with vim and vigour I don't resort to such slurs.

I think you are forgetting that football is an entertainment industry. Meaning we, the fans (customers) are the ones that have a right to expect entertainment not the other way around. If the HF want to do what they do great. Good luck to them. Its a free country. Dont be a berk and start criticising the rest of us because we just want to turn up and watch our local team play football (and hope we win/play well)

Football is a sport industry. You'd be very disappointed if you've been going to Selhurst Park for the last few decades expecting entertainment
