This doesn't suprise me. They're not going to want to be at the back of the stand . Imagine what's going to happen when we score and the players run behind the goal to celebrate with them. There's going to be an almighty crush as the HF run down to the front.
Just waiting for the announcement that the new singing section will actually be a narrower section running from front to back ....

My guess is that the HF are not happy about how it's been handled and want to make sure those effected are properly compensated. Either a better deal from the club for those who have been told to move, or still pushing for the full lower tier reset (which is a fairer option for the long standing ST holders). I know there is a certain perception of the HF on here, but I know them to be considerate and genuinely trying to do whats best for the club and not just themselves. They will want to minimise any ill feeling so that all Palace fans are with them.

To suggest they will run down 20 rows to celebrate with the players and cause a crush is nonsense, a wind up. The back of the stand has better acoustics with the overhanging roof (similar to the AW) which will generate more noise. they will also be standing for 90 minutes (seperate debate, but it happens at all grounds, just accept it) and standing at the front will cause problems for those who would want to sit behind them. Standing at the front of block B has never been an issue as block B has always been a 'standing area' even before the HF were there.

From your posts you are obviously very passionate about the issue, but there are some points your missing.
The only way we will stop being a small South London clubs is to win football matches, it’s that simple. Nobody cares how much noise the crowd makes, as it is irrelevant, it’s results that matter.
Crowds fluctuate from year to year, so no point hanging your hat on a small group of supporters, who can disappear at any time. Which they appear to have done already.
The majority of supporters go the a football match to watch the game, whether it’s in the Premier or non league. Being told your no longer wanted as you don’t sing enough, just sounds crazy.

They haven’t been told they’re not wanted because they don’t sing and that and it isn’t the case. They’re being moved seats. They and it have been handled badly but I don’t think it’s intended or because they aren’t valued. I think it’s because CPFC, with whatever year is named after it have always been poor with anything more than the basic, they haven’t handled any of this well from the start remember, and Parish isn’t as multi skilled as some think, and it comes across as him not giving a fvck, when really it’s because he doesn’t have the skills to handle it or anyone employed to either.

Initially there was a stated desire to emulate what was so impactful at Wembley for the Semi & Final. On both occasions they were located at the rear of the lower tier yet were still very visible.

Being at the back minimises the impact on fans in blocks either side & might actually avoid the entire LH having to stand up for extended periods.

It wouldn’t be a bad move to do that. You could put the current front half of E at the back of B and the current back of B at the back of E which will effectively be a B block move into E block.

On yer bike.

Why should I move from the back of B?

There’s already standing at the front of block E.

The atmosphere was good when we were in the Championship, most would actually say better then in the PL.

Attendances were usually higher than 10,000 then, not sure why you think that they would drop that dramatically.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

There’s already standing at the front of E. As things stand there’ll be standing behind them. I don’t know if there’ll be some sitting in between. It wouldn’t surprise me.

I didn't think it was all game though? Doesn't seem to be from where I am.

No. Occasional standing and only on the right side as you look at the pitch

Can you say that word on this site?

That is the correct rhyming slang for the male appendage being discussed, yes.

An alternative is Corn on the Cob. Don't hear that very often.
