Typical Palace. Hold out til the 86 minute and then lose.
1. Wilfred clearly not 100% but still the centre point and only threat from us.
2. As usual he was targeted.
3. It was a penalty - and was right in from of us.
4. I knew Luka was going hit it down the middle, and he did. A s*** penalty.
5. Schlupp was poor, so was Luka. Sakho playing like a lunatic didn't help.
6. Wayne played well. "Wales No 1" chant went down well.
7. I did think we were going to hold out get a point which would have been a good result IMO. But at the end of the day typical Palace, miss a penalty and end up losing.

Personally I thought that was the best wilf has been for weeks. Hennessy has been really good this season, he is like a new man. He can’t be at fault for the goals. We defended well and looked dangerous on the counter.

We just need more up top. Hopefully Wickham can give us something. Plus, if we are playing for a draw, defensive change should have been done on 75 to keep things tighter.

Well it seems this match had polarised opinion more than any other. I did not see it but there's now a Roy out brigade forming at the same time there's a load of people who seem to think it's the best we've played in a while.

Been back a short time now.
Thought we played well..best in the last 3/4 games.
Wilf also played his best game since the Watford comment.
We bossed the first half, missed the pen then they got on top for the first time in the game.Nicked a couple of goals, game over.

The ground was like a morgue, never heard Goodison that quiet before.

I would agree with all of that. The difference was their bench. They were able to bring on three very good attacking players and they changed the game. Our attacking replacement has had one game against a non-league team in the last two years.

I thought Kouyate was a positive for us and gave us a bit more size and steel in the middle of the park.

Think this team with Meyer in for Schlupp will start the game vs. Arsenal! And maybe Ayew for Andros....

I totally agree.

He is 6ft 4in and filled in at centre-half for W.Ham when they had injuries.
I believe the way forward is to play him with Milivojevic to give us that defensive solidity in midfield allowing the more attacking players to be given a freer reign.Perhaps this will improve our goalscoring.

I agree with the comments above.

He may not be the most technically gifted, but Kouyate was good yesterday, he must've won atleast 75% of aerial duels he went in for which i was impressed with.

I think with the holding 3 of himself, Luka & Jimmy and then Meyer to replace Schlupp, its a team that can potentially have a good season (once we get through these next 4 games, which will no doubt cause some sort of meltdown on here in the mean time).

Whatever happens, theres still 87 points to play for, we probably only need a third of those to be safe again for another year (im trying to be optimistic)

Meyer and Schlupp don’t play the same position.

Meyer will come in for Kouyate no doubt as Roy can’t seem to drop MacArthur or Luka.

Ayew or Kaikai could play where useless Schlupp does.

What stood out for me watching the game on the box was Schlupp was poor and Andros Townsend has lost his pace he really struggles to beat his man and has become really ineffective which is a worry

Hate to say it but one of the big reasons we are so poor without Zaha is Andros is not much of a threat anymore.

With the defensive attention Zaha gets it should open things up for the other players. When those other players are Schlupp, an out of form or possibly finished Andros and MacArthur (tries hard but he is not an attacking midfielder) we are struggling.

They had game changers on the bench we had Puncheon. Enough said.
