Seeing as Halloween is approaching, I’ve just read an absolute horror story from Neil Warnock who claims that we could have signed Virgil Van Dijk for £6m when he was in charge but we passed as his chief scout said he was too slow

Were we even linked with him at the time? Are there any other famous incidents of us massively ballsing up by turning down players?

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Didn’t Colin try to get Harry Kane on loan for us just before he broke into the spurs first team? But they wanted a permanent deal?

Surely the master stroke of the century was selling FFS for £4m, who has just scored his 100th weed goal. Genius.

Van Dyck is pretty damn good but for what we paid Tomkins is outstanding.

Throw my lot in here but Tango man not paying Tim Cahill's agent what he wanted could well of changed our and his Palace history and that wasn't £6 million.

He admitted when we went down that it was not signing him that cost us relegation.
Although he did say cahills agent wanted some more dough at the last minute and got told foxtrot oscar by jordan.
At the time agents were getting a bit too strong so it did get a bit of praise.

Agree, it was a strong stance and him admitting to it as well deserves a lot of credit even if it might of been costly for the club.
