You still haven’t answered the following question. You’ve just said we shouldn’t sell except for a huge amount of money. So what’s your answer (opinion)?

And if we don’t sell these players, do we accept we don’t buy anyone and then in a year’s time have absolutely nobody to even play upfront, let alone score upfront.

We survived with loans this season and could do so again.

If we sell AWB because we need the money then how will we spend that money on players and increase the wage bill further? That makes no sense.

We either need to sell or we don't need to sell.

He has a three year contract so we can keep him at least another season whether he fancies a move to United or not. He has no right to demand a move and would be ill advised to do so.

Some 4 years ago, McTominay was only 5ft 6in but had a growth spurt and is now 6ft 4in.Good in the air and works hard.

Player power exists in today’s game. No denying that. Assets are too valuable.

How about not needing all of the money for financial reasons or to increase playing and squad quality in the team. Maybe both. Now there’s a thought. One you won’t accept.

according to newsnow that's the latest development, if Man U want AWB they have to drop the sell-on clause for Zaha, we may as well play hard ball since if we don't sell either of them we aint too bothered, I reckon they'll both go and we will have a bit of restructuring with Hodgson players, McTominay and Castagne look like good acquistions, with a winger like Michael Antonio we'd only need one more squad player and we'd still be in profit

So 30 million for debts and 30 for three players?

Wow, 10 million a player. That will set the world alight.

Seeing as everyone sill believes click bait, perhaps that might also believe that the club is about to be sold.
That will change things.

I don't understand why you think selling AWB instantly means we're relegated. AWB has played for us for 18 months, we've been in the Premier League for 6 years.

How can you possibly think that selling him will lead to a complete melt down in our performances.

He was outstanding in lots of games last year, but I'm not certain he alone won us that many points.

He is a brilliant player and a brilliant prospect but for the majority of clubs, points aren't won at full back. It is the top top teams where the margins are so slim that full backs really make the difference and can be the difference between 1st and 2nd, Champions League and Europa League.

For anyone from about 8 down, as long as your full back can defend, you're better off investing in further up field.

In an ideal world we would never sell a decent player but this is the real world were things like human needs, finances, outside influences, personal ambition all play a huge part.

Claiming selling him will lead to the utter collapse of the club is just being dramatic.

Because Hrolf is like a sith, he deals in absolutes.

He is also quite dramatic.

Simple look at transfer talk suggests to me we shouldn’t sell.
Talking about replacing a young fast defender who’s saved us X amount of goals this season with a non-scoring doughnut like Mitrovic.

The post implied selling Zaha as well.

I'm through with this debate. Some Palace fans have the memories of goldfish. We just about stayed up even with AWB last season and that was in large part because the bottom three were so bad. Don't let finishing mid table fool you. We cannot afford to sell our best talent.
