I agree, I doubt many of them watched the game last night. From what I saw AWB was pushed in the back by Henderson and was off balance when he tried to clear the ball and it went in the net.
Hardly a bad game and football people will see it for what it was. I remember Seaman being beaten from the halfway line for England, he went on a won numerous caps afterwards.
I understand people don't want him to leave, but to say he isn't worth the asking price for his age and potential is burying their heads in the sand.

I do think he’s mustard but I can see him being “worse” for United than us. His strengths are more defensive than attacking and he’ll be asked to do a lot more attacking for United than he was asked to do for us.

I can't recall a better tackler than Wan-Bissaka.
But there is more to a fullback's game these days, they also have to go forward a lot more, and provide decent crosses, and I think he's lacking in that department.
That's why if the £55m offer is true Palace must accept it, before the penny drops for United, because Ashley Young is a far more dangerous attacking option.

Agree. An excellent fullback , don’t think he will ever make a great wingback though.
I think with his pace and tackling he could end up as a center back in a pairing with a bigger partner.
Very good last season , but too much money to turn down.

OK that is confirmation enough for me. The Daily Fail reports there is no deal agreed, which given it's the Daily Mail means that the deal is done and dusted.

Any decent team needs pace both ends of the pitch which leaves us with Van Aanholt. No thanks. Also teams who don't concede are the ones who stay in the division.

The idea of taking the £50 mil and punting half on an unproven attacking player to balance the books isn't exactly progressive or ambitious.

Couple of friends are Fulham ST holders and a think the likes of Seri are crap.

pardew 15-16 51 conceded
pardew/bfcs 16-17 63 conceded
fdb/roy. 17-18 55 conceded
roy 18-19. 53 conceded

all this were getting relegated if we sell AWB is utter clueless bollox.

our best season defensively had a back 5 of...

wayne
ward
dann
delaney

we will be just fine!

The PL has got better since then. Do you seriously think that Souare and Delaney are as good as Van Arnholt and Sakho or Tomkins? Ward better than AWB?

Behave.

Yes and conceding those ten more goals under Pardew and Allardyce nearly sent us down. Needed miracle wins away to Chelsea and Liverpool and Sunderland to do us favour against Hull when they were already down.

Your post is far from conclusive that we'll be "fine" and doesn't address the loss of pace. AWB kept some very fast players quiet last seson.

Admit it, we all knew it would get done.

Kudos to SP for holding out for maximum value.

He will never make a CB he can't head the ball to safe his life.

I’d take £50 million and Joel Ward at right back again.
