On the BBC Sports News, there's a piece from Aidy Boothroyd, the England U21's Manager, in it, he states that all this speculation has affected him & has had his head turned.

Utd are trying to include Phil Jones in the deal in exchange for dropping Zaha sell on clause. They tried it with West Ham trying to get Diop, I expect they are trying it with us or another player they want to off load. Including a player or players suits them, as everyone inflates the price if Utd try to buy.

Phil Jones may not now be England quality but I think he would shine for Palace. Sort of versatile player that Roy loves. On £50k a week (apparently) at United so not out of the question but it all depends on how much they value him at. Obviously not popular on here though!

We don’t need Phil Jones unless a CB leaves. We have 4. Sakho, Tomkins, Dann, Kelly. We don’t need another Prem wage level CB. We don’t need, or I hope want him as a def mid. Negotiate hard.

I agree,Nogotiate hard,it's about time the silent one aka Steve Parish came out and publically states that United have 48 hrs to complete the deal or the deals off. Give us what we want or do one,AWB goes on our terms not Manures.
