Oh that's brilliant. Pound signs more important than having a decent team. Bloody idiocy to sell AWB and to those blood suckers MU. What a bunch of t***s running CPFC. They obviously don't want to give the supporters who fork out every week to see them struggle to stay in premiership. That's my lot 62 years of support and I'm off. Bloody disgraceful Parish. Oh and not forgetting that other t*** Pardew. Sold Gayle because he didn't fit into his plans. What plans were they. Oh I know, struggle to stay up AGAIN. Sod'em all. Bye CPFC

Lots of people having a dig at this post, I think fair play. Obviously loves the club and wants us to be successful.

I think he's right too. Another season of just trying to survive whilst Parish et al cash in on our best players.

Relegation will come eventually with this mentality.

No, we don't need fans who like to win games and see great players in the shirt, hell no.

We need fans who celebrate when we sell our best players to Manchester United. That is how you play the game.

In twenty years, can you imagine a thread where people like you reminisce about what a great defender we sold?
'Wow do you remember the time when we made £50 million?'

What is wrong with some people?

Well said.

I know hes been sold and makes us potentially weaker in that area.
And if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle but if awb got injured......
I'm just saying that selling and buying is all part of football.
It's a money game.
Jumpers for goalposts is fantasy in the PL
I'm not forced to support, watch or buy a season ticket.
I choose to.
Challenges are all through life and for 90 mins mine is not to lose my s***.
Maybe our progression is slowed but having awb wouldn't have guaranteed it.
I think we are still a top tenish side without him.
This isn't a call to arms just a realistic outlook
Imo.

I just hope for his sake that he hasn't made a move that will take him on to far greater obscurity.

There's just something about the Palace environment that has brought out the very best in many players, which just
seems to disappear when they move on.

I was gutted when we sold Johnny Byrne, Alan Stephenson, Bill Glazier, Kenny Sansom, Steve Kember, Ian Wright, Peter Nicholas, Nigel Martyn, Vince Hilaire even John Bostock but CPFC remains. It’s been 60 years and I’m not stopping now.

Hope we spend some of the dosh to upgrade our Academy - AWB and Wilf have proved the importance of a healthy youth system.

Relegation will come eventually with this mentality.

As they change modern football won’t be long before they ban the sliding tackle. Doesn’t exist in women football which is already taking the limelight. That is a big part of Wans success. Where will that leave him?
Heading will also follow. At that point thousands will follow Royston away from the game.
The reason I still buy a season ticket is for the singing. We are one of the best for that.

Which of our best players have they cashed in on since promotion?
Bolasie was ok, but he’s done nothing since and we got 30 million.

I'm not sure women's football is taking the limelight as much as you think it is, the standard still isn't great and pubs/ fan parks are still empty. I wouldn't be too quick to buy into the media's agenda.

Beyond wishing our girls all the best I think 99% of punters aren't any closer to paying to watch that dross.

It'll go full circle anyway and AWB represents part of that with his excellent, almost throw-back slide tackles.

As you say, as soon as the game goes full non-contact it's finished.
