Hire them and fire them doesn't build a team. Howe was struggling at Bournemouth last season, no talk of getting rid of him. Dyche took Burnley down, they stuck with him and both have paid dividends for both.
Roy is a good club manager, his record speaks for its self.
Parish isn't going to sack him, anytime soon.

At Roy's age he's not an ultra long term option, if we were looking for stability we should be training someone up to take over from him now.,

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

Hodgson won't stick around for another season if we go down.

That's my view as well.

Schlupp isn't Dutch.

Not sure where that one came from, born in Germany and indeed represents Ghana.

To be fair even if he was born in Brazil I would see rather see Steve in there.

Schluppinho?

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I'm sick of the negativity on here. As soon as we lose a game, everyone just finds fault with everything. That was never a 3-1 game, and at 1-1 we were clearly the better team. Chelsea are a world class team, and at the moment we are not having much luck and the main criticism is that we are lacking a top quality player up front. But don't tell me today was a bad performance, our passing is a joy at times. I feel certain that if we continue to play as well as this, we will start getting the results when we get another run of games against the lesser teams

We do that rather a lot, in fact we have only one two al season so I think people have a right to be rather negative as Parish has known for over a year now that we needed reinforcements in the striker department and he has buried his head in the sand!

We definitely were in the game for the most part until they went ahead again.

By no means our worst performance. Let’s face it, we have won there 3 times in the last 6 seasons, historically we do fairly well against big sides.

The main reason for that is we cede massive amounts of possession and can hit on the break, often through the middle of the park - somewhat how we scored today.

The performances against some of the teams in and around us this year have even absolutely terrible though. Where we are given possession, and bated to break a team down, we have struggled horribly.

I agree we are playing better, but for me the Burnley game on December 1st is massive. We need to put a performance in against a team somewhat on our level. Apart from Fulham we really haven’t done that so far.

Burnley score from set-plays and we haven't defended them well recently.

But who?

Take a look at our awful setup owners not willing to pay for quality staff.

we need new owners or things are not going to change SP looks more happy to line his own pockets rather then use to better the club and the Americans was never bought in to fund the team so they are waste of time they have not done anything for us.

Roy’s doing a good job but unforgivably we have a weaker team and squad than last year with less cutting edge.

That said we did alright. Van Aanholt’s defending / decision making is becoming a serious concern and he didn’t cover himself in glory on their second and third goals.

Once Hazard was introduced the writing was on the wall. The starting line up was the one most of us have been calling for but gives us no option to change the game or bring any energy or intensity later if we need to.

hear, hear my friend -the whingeing is pathetic, and for those turning on Roy or anticipating it you are total a**holes - we'll get a striker n Jan, and we'll be fine, Meyer played like a Pirlo/Jorginho at Schalke when he was deep in midfield, we haven't quite worked out how to use him, he's not a tackler, but I'm starting to like the Koyate Luka partnership and we ping the ball about lovely - anyone who thinks we haven't made progress since we've come up doesn't know what they're looking at.

Until fans step back and realise that the rot is at the top, palace will never change.

Too many fans are still accepting this as our most successful period.

Being in the premier league, struggling every season, not learning from mistakes, making reactionary signings to please the fans... changing managers at an alarming rate, that's not enjoyable or successful.

It may be profitable to Parish and co, using side company assets and charging the club etc as one example of their success, but us, the paying fan, what success is it?

Having 3 worse teams and a lucky streak each season isn't success.

We could have fielded a stronger side against Boro and won, still lost today but this week would have been viewed as a success - why, because in the cup at that stage, we were a success.

Let's be totally honest - a football club is entertainment - simple as that, it goes a lot deeper for some but why we do it, is for the love, the entertainment it brings either socially, aesthetically, whatever. What entertainment has the last 2 months bought?

If we can't compete in this league, if we don't try and compete in this league, why bother being in it?

Until fans realise that the prem isn't the be all and end all... and that a good, entertaining, gelled performance is what we want to see, the quicker parish will have to do something about it.

i still trust Roy. We just visited one of the wealthiest clubs on the planet and made them work for the win.

some of our players are making mistakes, but Roy is doing a good job with the resources at his disposal.

Eze Peasy at Anfield....

sometimes your team loses, and if your team is Palace and they're in the top flight you lose more than you win, mistakes? yes, of course they've been made, and some very good decisions, we might end up establishing a platform and be more secure in mid table like Bournemouth but it might take a year or three, and theirs is quite a unique set up - we have every right to be proud of how far we've come - out of the top seven only Leicester are a comfortable mid-table side, all the rest are looking over their shoulders, it's slanted that way these days, I find the toys coming out of the pram after giving one of the richest clubs in the world a real run for their money ridiculous - Parrish's running of the club isn't good enough? Do me a favour.
