Last season I could find 10 goals against us in the final 10 minutes of the first half, including three on the 43rd, one on the 44th and two on the 45th. It certainly felt meaningful at the time, I started to dread that 43rd minute and breath a big sigh of relief at half time.

Says who? I like to use the archaic form which makes me feel closer to the original French. Apparently they are taking it back and from 30 March we shall have to make do with picture Or we can all speak American...

This is not a French loan word so there is no "French" spelling available in English. It's directly from Latin which in turn gets it from Greek. It's therefore never spelled -me as the French word diagramme. Same applies for words formed from Greek graphein, to draw, via Latin. There's an obvious exception which is program(me). Both spellings are in use. With -me is generally more British, and without, American usage; but in the case of a computer program the US version seems universal, and a television programme is generally accepted in the UK. Where it means "a series of projects or initiatives" speakers go more with the expected US / UK split. Finally the word gram(me), a unit of weight, actually does come to us from French. Again the spelling is usually with -me in the UK and without in the US. I suspect the treatment of programme is by analogy with this word; which also comes originally from the same Greek verb graphein (gramma being the verbal noun, "a drawing"; when talking about weights and measures we might say "a draught"

Defensively they've been pretty good this season, but offensively they've looked laboured at times. Spurs fans haven't been exactly raving about their team this season so compared to the Arsenal and Chelsea games this seems the more winnable (albeit still very unlikely). I'm going to go for a morale-boosting win for us 2-1. Tomkins and Zaha with the goals for us.

It just goes to show you can't believe what you read on the interweb. I am obliged for your intervention on this matter, which shows great knowledge
