We might have come across him before Charlton if it was not for an under 16 game getting called off. I have seen him recently have an impact coming off the bench - not seen him start and sometimes players are better subs than starters ! That said, he has got the talent,quick feet,runs at defenders but at the present time he is not what we require.

I know many are saying we should go for Lookman if we sell Wilf, but we have very little (if any?) cover for wingers now. Bakary, Punch, Michy and Ayew are all leaving this summer. the wings is probably the one position we are very short of cover for and Andros and Wilf are not getting any younger. Bringing in someone like Lookman would be good business as he could develop his game by working alongside Wilf and Andros.

not sure he is PL standard otherwise why would Everton want to off load a 21yo for £20m

Let's not forget other clubs have made horrible mistakes with youth players too. Chelsea are horrible offenders at this (De Bruyne, Salah, Matic, Lukaku...) and Everton never seemed to have forgiven Lookman for forcing the loan to the Bundesliga instead of some backwater Championship side battling relegation.

Young and quick. Should fit in at Palace. Townsend and Wilf won't be around forever. I reckon this would be an excellent buy. So presumably, West Ham will buy him.
