The EU will get their military even if the majority of nations only supply a token amount of troops, There's plenty of bored, unemployed, low Iq, underskilled military age economic migrant men kicking cans down the street in Europe that could comfortably fill the ranks.
The only reason I can think a trading bloc needs its own military is to keep certain members of its club in check.

Can I see some evidence for this.

The US intervened on Britain's side in WW1 to the cost of thousands of lives. I'd like to see where you get this from.

Try the above to see the USA plan for war with the British Empire in the 1930's.

Steely quoting the Daily Mail!!!!

Sorry mate....but how dim is this? Apart from it not even being what I asked for.

Every country has contingency plans for wars with any number of countries.....Do you seriously think generals are paid to check marching lists?

I mean god sake, we have have some of these war plans and considerations on the Internet between allied countries if you look for them.

None of that is serious or represents any serious plans for war in government.....I'll ask again, give me some quotes that the British government that they were seriously considering a war with the US.

The truth is that this is just more anti US and western BS from fifth columnists who complain about the west whilst sucking from its teats

I've already stated the reality.

Back in the world of the grown ups that's it done and dusted.

FDR was signed up to the 'Red War' plan, and General Douglas McArthur in charge of the military plan.

Why a 'red plan' don't know, we automatically think of communists but Britain was in the hands of the tories.

Any British plan considering a war with the USA - that is new to me but, as you say, there must be contingencies.

You just have to go back in time to 1930 and look at it how it was then.

Rooseveld kept his suspicions right up to Yalta, he was ill and distrusted Churchill's supposed empire ambitions, giving most of Europe to Stalin.

Right so lets bring it back to reality.

There was never, and I repeat never any serious plans nor concerns that the US and the UK would be going to war back in the thirties.....or indeed for a couple of centuries.

You linking to a typical piece of sensationalist tripe from the Mail for people weak in the head says quite a bit.

While a war with the US was never on the cards that can't be said for what we saw developing in Europe and especially with Germany, where there were periods of serious planning for war before both WW1 and WW2.

You two are simply anti US (anti Uk for that matter) and are willing to twist truths.

I'll certainly carry on correcting people who post BS and can't back it up.

You are entitled to challenge any of my stated ideas on here just as I challenge ideas.

I back mine up.
