Sadiq Khan at one time acted as a lawyer for the Nation of Islam...He did end up representing the early terrorist version of Maajid Nawaz and others.

I don't think the 7/7 stuff is true....Rather amusingly he spent most of his legal career taking cases against the Met Police.

He's hardly the best example we have to lead security in London.....He's an anti establishment figure who decided to become apart of it.

Like most minority politicians he plays the wearing of two hats.

No one is Smarmier than the Boris Calamity vanity project. Funny how his ideology of not wasting public money has never prevented him wasting public money. But I suppose you could argue that he never "wastes" public money if it enriches his mates.

None of that was additional money out of my pocket/accounts.

I didn't mention public money. And they all piss that away, be that council, mayor, government or EU etc. Very easy to spend other people's money on ideas.

Optimistic as ever

You may need to expand on where the problem lies in this.

Poacher turned gamekeeper can be both good and bad.

Also, you love our culture and values. They include the right to legal representation. That's everyone, Stirling, from West to Brady to suspected terrorists.

It could be said that he took these "unpopular" instructions and then stood for high office. Would you have respected him more had he refused the briefs to avoid staining his embryonic political career?

I've kind of stated what the problem is....You present a 'best case' spin on it...but yeah for me Khan's two faced nature annoys me.

The problem, for me and others, is in social cohesion. I suspect his loyalties are conditional and divided....I remember the 'uncle Tom' stuff.

That's about the extent of it.

Shame people who don't live in London have strong views on what Londoners actually want.

Hush now. Do you not opine on the US, EU or any other subject? Also, I may have been out west for some time but I am still a Londoner at heart.

Good call.

Putting beautiful women out of work to wolf whistle both to social conservatives in his own demographic and feminists and their male allies in loony land.

If I were young and living in London I would probably end up getting arrested for covertly putting up posters like that just as a two finger job to the anti liberty nature of this policy.
