The problem is as long as people blame immigration for all the countries problems, governments will get away with it. More and more people are waking up to it but others still don't realise they're being conned.

A bit like the joke:

‘A banker, a worker, and an immigrant are sitting at a table with 20 cookies. ‘The banker takes 19 cookies and warns the worker: “Watch out, the immigrant is going to take your cookie away.”’

Clap clap
Where in my 4 line post did i mention immigration
I didnt did i.
Read whats written , not your own left wing interptretaion of what you think it says.

As king said later in a further post the welfare system was a safety net. Not a way of life for slappy baby makers and born disabled liars.thats not a slur on genuine disabled people; just the good actors.
As i said previously ive done beans on toast for a week as well so i know what its like to be skint.

Ironically someone added on a post about kids being obese. How is that when they are meant to be in poverty. Its lazy parents who cant be bothered to put in any effort to source fresh food.
Dont give me the old gas costs this and fresh is dearer.
Go to aldi or lidl and you will get food for a week for about 30 quid.
It takes effort and pride to bring up a family.
Sadly if its not on a plate then its everyone elses fault.
Lazy feckless and spoilt.
Rant over.

Globalisation has only helped the rich. That's not you.

This was More and more people are waking up to it but others still don't realise they're being conned.

CONTINUALLY being played for the fool yet not realising it isn't a good stance tbh.

You've lost on both counts.

Poverty in the UK is a misnomer.

The UK has a welfare state, where people are catered for in need. It may not give them a lavish lifestyle they desire, that's not whats its therefore.
In many countries around the world, if you don't work, you don't eat its that simple. That is poverty.

Personally i see no racists on this thread.
I do however see some ignoring simple facts in regard to the change, economic and social, that an already stretched society has been forced to accommodate.
When somebody constantly screams ''Racist racist racist'' while ignoring the facts then they've lost any debate.

That's you that is.

This is a good post,I have been saying this for years.
Fresh home made food is cheaper and by far better for you.
It's laziness nothing more nothing less, give some families £50 And see which comes out with fresh fruit and vegetables and meat, and you can fed a family of 4 for a week.
I am a delivery driver (food chain),And I deliver to a lot of butcher's and believe me £20 buys a lot of fresh meat.
Markets sell fruit and veg in bulk.
Teenage mothers too busy checking social media to cook proper food.

always a Norwood boy, where ever I live.

Your problem is that you don't seem to understand that mass immigration is part of the wealthy elite plan.
You want to separate it in your head because you are the victim of your own entrenched prejudices.
The 'bankers' are taking more of the 'cookies' by flooding the country with potential workers so they can pay everybody less and employ desperate people.

It is the replacement for slavery in the modern day.

Not only does it force down wages and make you easier to sack but the average man has to endure all the street crime, organised crime, rapists, religious loons and housing shortages, that have come with it.

When I worked in a supermarket young women would often ask for advice on meals. It was clear from their questions that cooking meant putting a ready meal in a microwave.

It maybe laziness but I prefer to think of it as another symptom in the breakdown of communities. Extended families used to live close together. Children especially daughters learned from their mother. If the mother doesn't cook chances are that the children don't either. As our families fracture that valuable osmosis knowledge you learn from parents just doesn't happen. I don't remember learning to cook but I do remember watching my mum.

I think, and this is in response to your other comment, that it is dangerous to see globalisation and modern immigration as the same thing.

Globalisation has mainly impacted the free movement of capital internationally. London played an enormous role in that by setting up the city, which allowed trade in eurodollars and opaqueness regarding where the trading companies and money was registered. This has made us the money laundering capital of the world, and the global rich were given frictionless abilities to come and go through our country as they chose.

But this hasn't been extended to the working classes of the world, even though logically that would benefit the elites (infinite labour pool, race to the bottom on wages etc.). So while we allow whatever dictator, criminal kletocrat or whatever in to the country to operate from, we create ever more Orwellian border security to prevent those they tyrannise from seeking refuge here.

Why? I would argue because those in power know that the ideal of the nation state is the best protection from mass mobilisation that they have. They can use it in a jingoistic way, as Trump does, to preserve their power, but they can also use state mechanisms to crush solidarity movements, as the EU financiers have done in Greece, Spain and Italy, and will do in Britain without hesitation.

And who is more to blame for the symptoms we see in our society? We need to believe in ourselves, and to have solidarity with all those being f*cked by the system, regardless of their colour, religion or culture. Only then can we hope for sovereignty and accountability.

If punk ever happened I'd be preaching the law, instead of listenin to Lydon lecture BBC4
