Been excellent after losing his place in December last year and the introduction of a new coach who, unlike predecessors, played many games at the top level and knows what it takes mentally an physically. The Speroni haters bit is a load of bollocks by the way. Most of the name calling came from the other way.

Apart from one cross in the first half that he came for and flapped at he was superb... Has massively upped his game this season.

Might be significant that our two goalkeepers from that period, other than Speroni, are both international goalkeepers now - whereas both were absolute liabilities then. Kiely was class, he used to play for Charlton. I always thought that he and Paddy Kenny were the best keepers I had seen. I didn't know he was our goalkeeping coach, but I am very glad that he is.
