There is a post on one of the threads on the charlton forums saying he was a regular at the valley even in poorer health, so I think any speculation of suicide is entirely that - speculation.
Really sad one for me as I was young and just getting into palace and football when pitch played for us. 49 years old really is far too young. RIP Darren Pitcher.
