Wonder where this would be if Sterling had reacted how Cantona did at SP ?

Your little 'bad boy' indirect but deliberate use of swearing at people is a little amusing if tiresome.

The question is quite a simple one though. If, in any given situation, two individuals have done/bought/said the same thing with the only difference being the colour of their skin why should the situations be reported differently?

I’m with you on some of the BS use of the ‘race card’ we see so much of but this does have credibility unlike a lot of the tosh spouted by the likes of Diane Abbott and her white apologist mates.

We’ll just have to see how this pans out but there seems to be enough panic in the press to suggest his treatment is far from an isolated case.

The panic is down to the knowledge that tosh like this is used to sack people who have mortgages to pay and children to feed. It has nothing to do with any tangible guilt from what I see.

I'll state again, this is nothing short of saying that....'if you criticise a black man, you're a racist'.....that's a logical fallacy and black people will become a 'protected class'...which itself is racist. That's going to be the result.

His money makes this less of an issue.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I'd better f*** off then because I think his money can well console him. I'd take racist abuse a couple of times a season if I earnt that amount of money - not that I even know he has suffered racist abuse.
I would also complain through the proper channels. This is being dealt with but I am glad it seems to be affecting Man City - I'm sure his team mates and manager are happy too.
He is becoming like Mario Balotelli - 'why always me?'
The gun tattoo doesn't help does it?

You seem to be going under the false assumption that life is fair and even and based on reality. It isn't.
People generally will judge you on a summary basis.

Unfortunately for the likes of Raheem Stirling, people will see him through the lens of prejudice based on established perceptions created to a large degree by how Black culture has chosen to present itself.

Is this racism? I think not. It is human behaviour. We form opinions based on perceptions and the press have no desire other than to pander to that.

Damn right Funty.

Premiership footballers like Sterling are paid obscene levels of money. We know it isn't the only bloated profession and we know it's only bloated at the very top...but it's true all the same.

I'm all for people making money and doing well for themselves and productive people are a net plus benefit to society.

But....

There are certain professions where the level of reward is in far excess of the value within society.....some people say well that's the market but I say then that the market is out of sync....A good nurse in many senses is more valuable than a footballer will ever be.....Jimmy Hill has something to answer for.

So....yes players like Sterling should be paid well....but he's is way overpaid so Sterling can cry about the grief he gets in his gold leaf slippers.

He has far more power than those criticising him have.

a) It's the market rate. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

But way more importantly...

b) Why does any amount of wealth automatically make you happy/immune from the affects of being on the end of constant abuse on a very public scale? No amount of money can make you immune from it affecting your mental health.
