I wonder what Matteo thinks of this guy? Seems a good bet to me....but I guess we would have to recycle one of our other misfiring strikers to make space for him?

I think very highly of him. Top goalscorer for FC Porto, I've expressed my opinion that he's very good in his thread 1 year ago when people here were laughing because he had this youtube video where he couldn't control a ball when trying to dribble out wide. As I said then, he's a massive center forward, not a winger (we can look it up, it's further down the tranafer section). Put Benteke or Lukaku out wide and you'd get the same laughs.

He has since scored I think over 40 goals for Porto, qualified them to the last 16 in the Champions League and, with Aboubakar out injured until God knows when, I can't really imagine them selling for less than 35-40 million.

I think we'd have a better chance for Tiquinho Soares from them, who is just as good a scorer in my opinion, not as powerful, but faster.
