Is Hodgson trying to get sacked though? He brings on Puncheon for Max Meyer when chasing the game? Where is Kaikai? Do something different for the love of God. We are whipping balls across their six yard box that Chicharito would bury 2 or 3 times a game, but there is no goal poacher in there. We don’t have a goal poacher which is down to Parish but you have to play a striker if you are going to whip those balls in. Ayew and Sorloth have been abysmal for us but the way we build attacks is crying out for a central striker figure which Wilf and Andros could play off.

Spot on... I've said it for a while but we are in our 6th Premiership season and we rely solely on one player... It's just not good enough. Of course I content him to leave but in my opinion, sell him for a big fee, invest some in new players and start building an actual 'team'... Not just a star and 10 other players.

Max Meyer as I had said before had been playing lots of games so he would of been exhausted remember this is his first season in this country and he has only just started to play full games. Now you will ask but why Punch well who else? not really any options he was forced to use Schlupp before hand and also he wants Punch gone so that would also be a part of it The likes of KaiKai are just not good enough at this level. It really is a disgrace when we have got to the stage whereby Puncheon is named in the squad.

A striker would help a lot but we need a lot more theres no cover for Townsend/Zaha and we are missing a player with brain in middle of the park. Yes we need more creative options too, but I maintain that we have a great starting 10. Not going into a season with good squad depth after so much time in the PL is poor, but going in without one good option in arguably the most important position is unforgivable.

I thought we played well today, could have gone in two nil up at half time, and when they equalised we came out and dominated them, then it went away, it could easily have been different, we are not a bad side, the loss of cabaye and RLC has hurt us plus injuries to Benteke and Connor, and it seems they won't be shelling out big money for a striker in Jan either.
