Absolutely, and I would add dedication to public duty. She has had an extremely challenging time and the start of her Premiership saw those ghastly terrorist atrocities.All-in-all it has been a torrid time for her but she continues with vim and vigour.

I'm not so kind....

She's a feminist, an appeaser and no friend to free speech. She has been a part of turning the Tory party into a social justice monstrosity that I have no recognition nor affection for.

Awful women.

LBC played some clips of Mrs Thatcher hand bagging the EU. Boy do we need that woman now. The only comparison between May and her is that they are both female.

He is also symbolic of everything wrong with our political system

Eton educated Public school toff, born into wealth and privilege, self serving, self righteous prick

Cameron created this whole saga and has slunk off into the background. May wanted the top job, but it was never going to be easy. The Euro bureaucrats were always going to make it as difficult as possible as the UK is a big cash cow to them.
Whoever is in the top job has faults, but you have to admire Mays commitment and determination. To me it seems a bloody awful job and can’t think why anyone would want it.

Whatever you think of Cameron the public liked him. He didn't come across as devious or obnoxious

The only Tory who would make a credible statesman and the public will warm to is Sajid Javid

I'm not a fan of her politics, but I'm impressed by her fortitude. It's us that's leaving, the EU are not obliged to cut us a deal and they have listened to Ireland. I'd be surprised if we get much more other than clarifications to sidebars.

I fail to see how he can be criticised for being born into wealth and privilege and being sent to a top public school.Doubt if he had any influence on all these matters !

In terms of the rest of your comments, I see JRM rather differently so we will have to agree to disagree on this matter. In any event this thread is about Theresa May and not JRM.

Created as in followed what was promised in the 2015 manifesto and presumably some people liked enough to vote for?

I respect your view but I'm afraid we are on opposite sides of the house on this matter.

In terms of the leadership challenge, whilst May won I don't think it was a great cause for celebration.

117 Conservative MPs voted against her which is a third of the parliamentary party. And one suspects that some of the 200 who voted for her might have included some who did so not because they have confidence in her but did so as they did not wish for a leadership contest at this juncture.

You just want to keep your stuff....that's the type of Tory you are Willo.

You'd support anyone who enabled that.....I'm afraid I require a little more.

You know....like actually believing in traditional conservatism and not trying to copy the social policies of your opposition.

The blue rinsers you mean.

The same twits who voted in Cameron over Davies.

I'm not critising him personally for his background, my point was that his privilege has got him into political power and he's hardly a man of the people

Maybe pomposity and arrogance are qualities you admire?
