For a man keen on historical facts you seem to have forgotten the hard road we took to get to a predominantly secular nation. Do you imagine that if given the chance, all of the aggressive mainstream religions would not relish the chance to impose their authority over us? That is what they do.
Look at how much of the world is dominated by Catholicism.
And let's not overlook Islam. That highly aggressive system is arriving here by the thousands every year.
