Stopped watching it the year Ryan Giggs won it just for scoring a good goal against West Ham. Seems so outdated now and I don't think the general public are that bothered about it anymore and does this award have any real value? More money wasted by the BBC

Nice of Clare Balding to cut off the speech of the most deserving award winner. Thomas was always going to win it, the other UK countries vote in numbers for their nominees.

To be fair, his missus doesn't look half bad. It's definitely a "would" from me. One question I had...how come Mo Farah is allowed to bring his wife and kids (presumably at the licence fee-payer's expense) when apparently no one else is?
