The story makes no sense. Boro need a striker, so they are getting Wickham from us. Palace need a striker, so we're getting Assombalonga from them.

What am I missing here?

Based on the few minutes he's played, I'd rather keep Wickham. Granted, he likely won't score a goal before getting injured. But we have Benteke coming back who also won't score a goal.

We have great depth in terms of guys who can't score. I think Assombalonga and Solanke could add to that depth.
