As the far right always think they aren’t extremists they usually adopt softer epithets to market their, frequently unpleasant, policies. The current one being “dissident right”. Back in the 1930s other terms were being used by far right groups.

If they don’t want to recognise what they are then others will, based on what they say and do.

Cuba is described as a communist state, although that seems as though that could finally be changing. I haven’t noticed the BBC saying anything else.

Venezuela is a mess. Full of corruption and a failed economy, with autocratic leadership by a dictator. Any semblance of the political origins have long since disappeared. I think the BBC report that pretty well.

Presumably many so it depends on the labeller.

These days it seems to be thrown around to apply to anyone who for example, agrees with JK Rowling or abhors race baiting.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

The dissident right is really anyone to the right of the mainstream Tory party and are willing to recognise that in themselves....that's it.

Of course if you listen to the likes of WE they will try to demonise terms of those who are anti their politics. Most of the time that isn't a problem as I also regard their neo and social liberal politics extremely poorly (it's been the type in charge and is responsible for today's society and economy).

However, what you frequently find is that they will overstep mere criticism of ideas and suggest that people are punished for their beliefs. What they do is take the most extreme example they can find and then paint everybody with that brush.

Some do it in part to scare normie conservatives by saying what they consider acceptable opposition to their ideas (which you will then notice reduces in acceptability over time).

They do succeed with that element of the right who always want the left to like them....people who never really took in Churchill's 'crocodile' quote.

Upon traveling over Eu it is clear majority of nations are angry about the flood of illegal immigrants also the government’s taking them in & providing a lot of financial, housing,schooling support - whereas the nation people are struggling to earn to pay if these themselves.

Also noting a vast majority are not family’s fleeing but men only ! From nations that are not worn torn or facing persecution!

A lot began with the United forces that invaded Middle East & left devastated people with no houses,schools,clean water - what was boned was not re built.
No WMDs we found it took years & billions to topple two leaders & millions of innocent lives.

It would be good to ask Tony Rich pockets war mongering mass murder Blair if he has since given up on looking for WMD & what he thinks of the left behind no bed cities.Along with how he would now handle the on mass ppl with no education ,no idea of English culture.Rather than pop up in the news saying how governments have got it wrong whilst still reaping the benihh fry it’s of the Blood money he still earns.

It's so much easier being in the opposition during tough times as you don't have to make any decisions or even have any sensible policies as it's far easier to snipe from the cheap seats than to come up with credible alternatives.

It was noticeable at this week's PMQs that with all the problems facing the country Starmer elected to use his questions up asking about Sir Gavin rather than anything with any importance and for those lefties on HOL that claimed that Starmer made mincemeat of Sunak you are obviously forgetting that when he claimed that the Prime Minister's judgement must be in doubt the PM responded by reminding him that it wasn't too long ago that Starmer was throwing his weight behind the IRA and Hamas loving Jeremy Corbyn saying that he would make an excellent PM

It always is. The grass is always greener next door and there will be jam tomorrow.

It's why we got Brexit.

It's a downside of the way our system works. Another is the convention that ministers, and shadow ministers, support their leaders, or resign. So whilst Starmer almost certainly held his nose when supporting Corbyn, he had little choice if he wanted his voice to be heard on other things. We need to read between the lines on such things and take copious pinches of salt!
