I've just decided that now we've reached the stage of acceptable discourse being 'let's shoot some poor people and let them drown', all you can do is try and make a joke of it. And drink, and cry when you see where this is all leading, but mainly laugh, because otherwise you'll end up wanting to jump on one of these boats yourself. I wander if these people smugglers do return tickets? Do I have to wear a mask on the dinghy, and will they guarantee the appropriate 1m social distancing for passengers? If not I'm giving them bad feedback on tripadvisor.

See. Hahaha. Funny. They're dying in the sea and we could save them, how funny, hahahahaha. But don't worry, they aren't refugees, those people whose lungs are filling with water, they were economic migrants, so it's ok. Let them drown. Hahahaha.

I don’t think I have ever suggested anything remotely like that, have I?
Yes the majority are economic migrants and I object to them being described as refugees and believe that there has got to come a time when we say enough is enough. Do I blame them? Not really I blame the smugglers/ the French for failing to deal with it. But to suggest I am happy to see them drown is a pretty poor show.

Why can't we just fly them to the Falklands, Gibralta, Ascension, Northern Ireland, Shetland, The Orkneys and leave them . They're trying to get to the UK, if we're to allow them in then they go where we say.If they know they're not going to guarantee the life they envisage it may may stop a few thousand.

You have to see the irony of the situation, we voted to leave europe to get away from the french and the rest, and the laws, we wanted and have got freedom, now we expect the pesky french to do us a favour by keeping hold of hundreds of people every week, house them, feed them, treat them when they get sick etc, why the fcuk would they? If the roles were reversed, and we had hundreds of illegals coming in from wherever, and they only wanted to head to dover and over to france, do you think anybody would try and stop them? The general public around dover would be crowdfunding to buy dingys and leaving them on the beach! The french have got us over a barrel and it"s going to cost us plenty of euros to get them to even pretend to give a fcuk- the irony!

I understand what you are saying but you are totally missing the point that, asylum seekers should claim asylum in the first safe country they arrive in. I have seen cases where people have claimed asylum in Europe and have been told to just move on, Italy being one of the worst culprits, this is because the vast majority want Germany or the U.K and with the open borders of Europe this is made easier. In essence these countries are contravening the UN convention but get away with it because the migrants end up being assisted to the UK

Yes, i totally agree spider, my point is why would the french want to hold on to them if they could turn the other cheek and "miss" them on the beach, it"s a bit like having travellers parked up on your local common, caravans and crap everywhere, them saying fcuk you, this place is crap, we"re moving to the next county, and you saying"you"re going nowhere", it wouldn"t happen, and i don"t blame the french for doing fcuk all, we would do the same, doesn"t make it right though but that"s life!Until we come up with a serious amount of money they won"t see any departing migrants!

Totally agree with you... Any 'receiprical', agreements we had with the French are surely gone now, if they can kick the 'issue', across the channel, they will certainly do this with gusto. As you say we'd do the same.

SINN FEIN are now multiculturalists. They welcome a tsunami of refugee men of military age. MARY Lou mc Donald seems to like them.

Not sure if Ulster has a good record for community relations however. Arlene Foster seemingly less keen on these men all arriving in unison. Even if they are sailing on an orange dinghy

Eze Peasy at Anfield....

The reciprocal agreement was only ever one way and it wasn’t Dover to Calais

Yep and it has been going on for years, that’s why camps such as Sangatte appeared. On that closing it was agreed if we took X number, the French would close it, they did but allowed another one to spring up.
One thing I would disagree with you on is we most definitely would not do the same, we might want to but it would never happen
