We have a first team that should match anybody in mid table. We are 4-5 injuries away from being deep in the brown stuff. Only 3 points above relegation zone. We need at least 3 adequate squad players or we are playing roulette. Edited by fish mitten (23 Jan 2019 4.50pm)

Watching the Liverpool match I feel that Palace is "this" close to being a solid mid-table team. But it's the "this" that's missing. A real striker and another winger, oh and healthy goalkeeper! Is that asking too much????

With only 15 games left, the January window is not the time to go shopping for overpriced goods (with only a few players truly available during the season). I see no reason to push the panic button, but Roy may move on during the summer. So no point adding more of his choices at high prices when the salary costs are already high.

If we bring no one else in we are gambling with our premier league status. We are just 4 points above the relegation zone and any injuries to key areas and we are in big trouble. I understand posters who say "we will be alright no need to panic" but SP is playing a dangerous game with the PL future of my club. We can only have about 20 players in our squad, 4 of whom are goalkeepers
