I am a long-distance follower of CPFC now (in NZ) but as I lad I went along to watch some of the Palace 'legends' including Johny Byrne, our best ever striking partnership and many, many more, Attillo included.
I read every single posting on the CPFC 'message Board' and every time I look there are 3-4 negative posts versus 1 positive/optimistic post.

As a follower /supporter, I urge every single fan to be more positive/enthusiastic/ supportive/ thankful to those that raised Palace from oblivion to being the developing PL team they are today. Instead of 'trashing' individuals' performances every week, I suggest we re-build those lacking in confidence-because EVERYONE wearing the cherished shirt needs SUPPORT not 'trash talk' criticism. Let's get behind Roy and his Eagles. He knows the difference between GOOD and GREAT and he deserves outlasting gratitude-not continual criticism! My grandmother once said...'Ignore criticism unless it comes from an expert'. Palace fans need to be MORE POSITIVE!!

Good post.
I do laugh at the match day thread in the space of a few minutes Roy and the team are useless and should all be sacked then we score and its Champions league here we come. It's why I love Palace its a roller coaster but totally agree lets get behind Roy and the boys.

Your right I have stopped naming names as the ones I were told did not come off but correct me if I am wrong but did our chairman not get one wrong either.

Unfortunately in this window anything can happen and for Palace the deal has got to be right.

I am only passing on what I hear and still stand by Tosun at this moment in time.

Thanks for your posts, most people understand the transfer market is volatile. If it happens, it happens, but people thirst for information leads to expectations.
The old adage of take everything with a pinch of salt, until you see them holding the shirt smiling, is still true today.

The trouble with divulging names is that transfers can be scuppered at the 11th hour and one is then criticised on forums like this.

I recall all those years ago being informed by someone who at that time knew Nigel Martyn, that he was travelling up the following day to sign for Everton. He did travel there but then Leeds also asked if he would meet them the same day.He signed for Leeds much to my surprise and to the surprise of the person who informed me about Everton !

The whole transfer business can be convoluted and protracted ending in disappointment and just when you believe you have got your catch, it gets away and goes to another club.

I think most of us appreciate the insight Dazza, transfer dealing are always murky and someone will have an agenda.

Regarding Tosun so far the push back from been from the club rather than the player. I hear that Everton are currently paying £750 thousand per week in wages to players they want to shift. They want rid of Tosun so they are hoping to sell rather than loan. My guess is come transfer day if he hasn't gone they may decide a loan is better than nothing.

That said I am not sure we need him now I would let Wickham and Benteke get on with it and see where we are in the summer.

We might yet see him at our club.

So now we"te going to sign a forward midfieldet and/or defender (haven't mentioned a defender begore) do whoever we sign yoursource was right. I appreciate anything can happen, which is why I take any 'sources' with a pinch of salt. TBF your source has only mentioned names that have been in the papers and one by one fallen through. The two we have signed he didn't tell you about , or at least not until they happened. In the meantime people seem to get excited by your posts. I'll wait until Tuson actually signs on Thursday before I get excited, although I really can't see it happening.my source tells me were waiting till the last day to get loftus-cheek back on loan, which I think is still possible. But of course that coukd fall through at the last moment.

The defender mentioned was Gary Cahill but I suppose it depends on wether dann goes to Fulham , which I hope he doesn’t btw

We would have to be f***ing mental to essentially swap Dann for Cahill.
He must be on more than Dann and Roy is probably quicker than him nowadays.

Cahill must want to play regular first team football. He has more chance of that at Fulham than at our club.
