I love Crystal Palace and have until recently attended every away game we play. This season has taken a bit of a back seat due to family commitments, but I've still managed 2 home games and 4 away.

I have never said I hate Crystal Palace or any player or manager. I remain objective: I'm honestly not bothered whether people respect my opinion or not and take all personal attacks as a sign that my point of view has challenged people's thinking which is a good thing. When this happens I never descend into name calling and only respond with humour. Whether it's taken as such isn't something I can control.

Interestingly, I've received several private messages commending my posts, one asking if I have a twitter account as they feel I'll be chased out soon by the 'clique' and want to follow my opinions. I've also received some nasty private messages which I'm big enough to ignore and not report. Sticks and stones and all that.

It's a shame that a small minority attempt to shut down debate and freedom of opinion by throwing insults and demeaning posts because they don't agree. Having followed this site as a non member for years it was the driving force to join: a different voice to challenge the status quo.
