I've noticed that younger contestants on quiz shows often excuse themselves for not knowing an answer by saying "it was before my time" which implies that general knowledge starts from the date you were born. Hiroshima? Russian Revolution? Assassination of JFK, Pearl Harbour? The Great Depression? Suffragette movement? Spanish Civil War? Vietnam War? What? No mate, all before my time.

What the real damning thing is about this whole event is that telling the truth is seen as damaging to a career. It's obvious that...unless it really was involuntary...which is unlikely that Hennessey was engaged in a frivolous edgy joke. Something that young men have been doing since time began. But now he has to lie to just get on with his life without being accused of being a Nazi supporter. We really are ruled by a collection of fools.

This story is the ultimate example so far proving that major organisations are now run by spineless yes men who are afraid for their jobs. And to think that there are now people with the job of persecuting this kind of behaviour. Summary justice to appease the truly moronic. How far will we let this nonsense go before someone says enough? We have learned the wrong lessons from history.

The only thing Sweet Fanny Adams cares about is keeping the cash rolling in. It’s a good thing Wayne had video evidence to back himself up. BTW NBCSN had the same video from their coverage of Palace matches.

It’s just not believable that a 32 year old person is that ignorant.
