If...Wayne was telling the truth would he have been better off actually saying sorry made a silly joke? Sometimes honesty is not the best policy? His explanation seems to have poured fuel onto the Twitter fire... And it’s for stupid things like this that I have strict rules about posting pics to social media. Now where’s my uniform... Joke.

But it would be nice if he could just give the 'outrage' mob the middle finger.....but as a Palace figure even I would say that's overly political and hence not in his role. Wasn't it Mark Bosnich who did a Nazi salute during a game at Spurs. Now that was ill advised. This will all blow over quickly unless Wayne goose-steps out onto the field in his next match.
