no ,what credentials does he have to be a manager let alone one of a massive club like Palace . His legs have gone on the playing side so again no thanks .

Did Steve Coppell have any credentials when he became Palace Manager, No and if I remember rightly Coppell retire because of knee injury.

If we play with three up front, we need a midfielder like Cabaye was to maintain possession, move the ball upfield, and distribute it to the forwards.

Luka, Mac, Kouyate cannot do that. They are terrible at possession and passing. I was hoping Meyer could do it, but he hasn't been as good as Cabaye was in that role.

At this point, we'd be better off with the same players as last season (Benteke up front and Cabaye in midfield). We've gotten no one to improve the team, which is shocking and depressing.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

He most certainly is not. Classy little player, Macca. Good in possession. Agreed, the other two lumps are more juggernaut types.

Given that it's pretty much accepted that we miss him and have failed to adequately replace him, I would offer him a short term deal until the end of the season.

It makes sense as long as we don't have to pay ridiculous wages. I would see him as a squad player though rather than a starter.

Kouyate is more an industrious Hodgson type player rather than looking at him only as not improving the team. I think you’re going to have to get used to this in the near future with Zaha possibly leaving and our attacking full backs in demand as well.

Any truth in this do we think?

Do love Cabaye but sometimes it seems like we are only ever linked with scraps available in the market, including former players - hence Sako!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

No brainer, would have Yohan back.
Classy player in my opinion who doesn't give the ball away cheaply.

It's a yes from me.

Cabaye, a player who was a shadow of his former self towards the end of his time with us and never lasted the whole game.I suppose after Sako anything is possible at the club.Maybe will go for Jedinak next.

Is he gonna take a massive pay cut to come back? I wonder.

Cabaye couldn’t last 90 minutes already last year and I am sure his time at Al-Nasr didn’t keep him overly sharp.

He won’t play full games but he could probably make us better with some minutes here and there.

Is RH going to sign off on a non impact sub type (unlike Sako and Bolasie) who cannot play more than 60 minutes?

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Lol. I was pointing out some weeks ago that Ian Wright is a free agent. He always had an eye for goal and might be just what the doctor ordered.

Half fit Cabaye towards the tail end of his career would be an interesting decision for Hodgson.
